Yeah 1986 was great. First computer virus was released and the Challenger exploded...and that was just January.

No, but Rock Band 2 is dirt cheap. Around $10 to $15. So it wouldn't be a bad investment, even if Rock Band 3 comes out at the end of the Summer, you still get 90 songs + the ability to download whatever DLC you want.DeadGzuz said:I'm new to this Rockband stuff and only have Lego Rockband, are the RBN songs in the PSN store usable in the Lego version? This guy knows how to get a <3 from pretty much everyone here :lolScythesurge said:Was also the golden years of Iron Maiden, which is pretty much an auto win.

G4 is the worst just cause they link you to an article or a video but when you click it you find your self on the main page and you have to go through bunch of shit just to find it.Rewrite said:Browsing G4 (don't ask), I found an article that talks about how the LOST tracks ended up in Rock Band. Pretty cool article.
Here's the article.
G4's web is a mess. The best staff they have are the few people still there from TechTV, and they're on tv production.Ashour said:G4 is the worst just cause they link you to an article or a video but when you click it you find your self on the main page and you have to go through bunch of shit just to find it.
This could be a mobile thing but if it's so then fuck them for that too.
That's one of the reasons I stopped following them on twitter, the other reason is they keep posting the same tweets over and over for 5 days.

TheGreatDave said:I read an article on GH6 today that said Quickplay+ is like a collectathon. RIP, Rock Band, you guys should preorder WoR today.
Have you not learned anything yet? This is all Dave really cares about.aristotle said:When I asked you about GH6, you acted like you knew all about it. From the article I read, it sounds terrible. There is actual meta-tracking in the game, much like with CoD. So you level up, yet it's nothing more than bragging rights. Not to mention one character has the ability to earn more than 6 stars on a single song. It's just stupid star tracking.

TheGreatDave said:I probably gave the impression I know all about it because I actually read the articles, where you seem to have skimmed them and got incorrect info.
Quickplay: same as GH5
Quickplay+: Quickplay with a bunch of challenges for every song, where you can get up to 40 (I think) stars on each song
Transformations: only used in Quickplay+ or Quest, gives "powers" that you can combine to go for super high scores/challenges. Star Power pathing v. 2
As a fan of stars, WoR is currently 8 times better than the competition.
TheGreatDave said:Quickplay not plus is still a 6 star max, like GH5 and (essentially) RB2. Oh noes, options![]()

You said "Not to mention one character has the ability to earn more than 6 stars on a single song." Every character can earn over 6 stars. Destroyed, skimmeraristotle said:Nope I read the article. It seems incredibly superficial to the game. I know all about quickplay+ as you can see from my previous post. Not to mention you have to play as every character in "tiers" to progress in the game and complete it. Not that it actually matters in a game such as GH & RB.
I was talking about QP+ & quest.![]()

That has already been in what, 3-4 GH games? No reason to bitch about it now.aristotle said:From the article I read, it sounds terrible. There is actual meta-tracking in the game, much like with CoD. So you level up, yet it's nothing more than bragging rights.
No way can one character exclusively earn more stars than the others. If that's the case I'll cancel my imaginary preorder and buy RB3 + 160 button guitar instead.aristotle said:haha. No! Johnny Napalm has that ability in quest mode. Who skimmed now?![]()

You're already wrong because the first GH6 article (OXM?) says Lars can get a 6x multiplier.aristotle said:It's true man. Look for the Official Playstation Magazine. Wait you're in the UK. If I can't find it today, I'll scan and show you tonight in irc.
Baker said:You're already wrong because the first GH6 article (OXM?) says Lars can get a 6x multiplier.
Maybe that's Lars' special for higher scores, but maybe the threshold for Johnny Napalm's stars is lower, and therefore he can get more stars with a lower score? And then Judy Nails gets more overdrive, and Axel Steel gets a loosened timing window.Baker said:You're already wrong because the first GH6 article (OXM?) says Lars can get a 6x multiplier.
