Some kind of vague reference to potentially updating past DLC in the future that will never come true

...

I'm just guessing what'll happen! The press did interviews with that guy (Bumblefoot, his name is, apparently) back at the pre-E3 event, so obviously he'll be bouncing around doing something. And I can't see him playing old Guns N Roses songs, soooo.

...
Does not compute.

It'd look silly. Unless he wore a Slash wig and hat.

So Paul McCartney should stop playing Beatles songs because he doesn't have a goofy looking motherfucker on drums?

That is incredibly dumb logic.

When I'm right you're gonna feel silly. Chinese Democracy 2 coming to RB this year.

OK, that would make more sense than what I thought you were saying. I'm sure I'll enjoy playing it in Rock band 14.

Space Cadet said:
Yeah, I thought you'd like that. There's no way CD 2 comes out within the next twenty years anyway.
Besides, by then it'll be called American Democracy.
unless I finish development of my supervirus that only affects fundies

Zine is out.
:lol :lol :lol
Hey gang,

Woo hoo, Green Day: Rock Band is finally in stores! Hopefully all of you have picked up your pre-orders and have enjoying stage diving off your sofa and pogo dancing in your living room. If you weren't quick enough to pre-order, there's still plenty of time to pick up a copy and join in the fun. The GD:RB demo is still available on Xbox Live (coming soon to PlayStation Network) if you want to take the game out for a spin first!

Folks that already downloaded the Green Day: Rock Band caught the little surprise we snuck in at the end. If you missed it, we showed off the Rock Band 3 logo and we included all five instrument logos, including the brand new icon for the keyboard peripheral! If you want to know more about the keyboard and upcoming Rock Band 3 goodness, check out the slew of press releases that just went up in the Announcements forum on RockBand.com.

And if you want the FULL story on Rock Band 3, be sure to keep posted to RockBand.com and all those handy links on the sidebar, because we'll be at E3 next week to talk specifics about the RB3 set list, new game features and tons of other exciting stuff! We'll have videos, interviews, photos, the works. We've got more than a few surprises up our sleeves, so if you're a fan of the games Harmonix makes, you won't want to miss what we've got in store!

No E3 megapack confirmed. :(

You're getting slow, Duck. I already related the relevant info from the Zine.

Yep. The tl;dr version: ..................../end

now that I've had a chance to truly catch up:

that waifu thing is fucking weird, especially when you do a google image search.

I'm taking GD:RB back tomorrow* (haven't opened it yet) and transferring the credit to RB3 full band pack. I'm also taking all of my plastic guitars (they won't take drums) and applying that as well. Next week will be amazing, I hope.

*I used the pre-order code already so I have the songs available in RB2/3 on the hard drive. :D

Migt want to call about the guitars, GS's around here have stopped taking them. Also, using the code might cause you some problems.

Really? Man, my plans for world domination have been shattered. *sigh* :p

But seriously, the manager didn't have a clue when I picked the game up so I can only imagine the rest of his staff are similarly trained. But I'll call about the guitars, thanks for the heads up.

Actually, if you don't make a big deal about the code, or just lie and say you didn't use it, there probably isn't a damn thing they can do about it.

I'm going to try to sell my rb1 kit again with rb1/2 on craigslist. Should be able to get at least $80.
I already tried to get cash from walmart for my unopened copy of rb2 but they say that barcode isn't in their system :(

Getting tickets to Rock The Bells tomorrow: Wu-Tang Clan doing all of 36 Chambers (with ODB's first born son doing his parts), Snoop doing all of Doggystyle with Warren G Lady of Rage and the Doggpound (so Ain't No Fun is going to be legit), A Tribe Called Quest doing all of Midnight Marauders, Rakim doing all of Paid in Full, KRS-One doing all of Criminal Minded, Slick Rick doing all of The Great Adventures of, DJ Premiere (it used to say with a Gang Star tribute but now it doesn't anymore) and Lauryn Hill doing shit from the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

Best festival this summer? You have no idea how fucking excited I am for this shit. We're driving to NY to see it.

Damn, that festival sounds great, October. I wonder how much further Lauryn's sanity has slipped.

I heard she's like a super militant Muslim feminist, I hope she loses her fucking mind on stage. I wanna bring a sign that says "Marry me you misguided bitch but shave your pits first" and see if she has me killed.

It's a great fucking album though.

The last time I saw anything about her was in Dave Chapelle's Block Party and it was really obvious then that she was two cats short of being the crazy lady up the street.

OK, in preparation for seeing them in a month, I decided to bone up on post-reunion Maiden, since that's pretty much what their setlist is...I've come to realize a few things:

-Brave New World is actually a great album. Like, seriously great. Wouldn't put it with SiT and Powerslave, just yet, but it's definitely up there with the likes of Seventh Son and even Piece of Mind.

-Dance of Death sucks...but Paschendale is a fuck-awesome track.

-A Matter of Life and Death sounds like someone else was writing the songs. They're not bad, per se, a lot of them are just not Maiden. I'll be curious to see how they come across Live.

Finally, I've come to the conclusion that even a weaker Maiden track can stand head and shoulders over most of metal out there.

edit: while writing this, I've been listening to Brave New World...and it really is good...if it holds up to extended listenings, I might put it up with some of their best.

One great album doesn't earn you 12 years of batshit insanity right?

Five, tops.

hey Amusix have you heard El Dorado?

I would like to read your opinion on this. I love this song.

And I have said this before, I like Brave New World (album) a lot. This songs sound incredible in Rock in Rio and it is very special for me seeing Maiden playing some of this songs again in the Final Frontier Tour.

Brave New World is indeed awesome, however The Nomad is terrible. One of the few Maiden tracks I have to skip. Probably one of their worst tracks. Shame, because the rest of the album is superb.

I have been very careful to dont spoil anything to you...but I have to tell you that Bruce is still awesome.

Of course not but I'm still excited to see her in concert because she only really has the one album so I know what she'll be performing. It's better than her having all kinds of shitty albums she put out while crazy and never playing her good stuff.

120 buttons... FUCK YES!
102... on the one that actually has buttons, at least. But yes, very cool.

Thanks man, I was gonna mention I broke down and looked at the setlist last night. :D
I'm pretty happy with it. Really looking forward to the show.

I knew you would not resist =)

Iron Maiden at Rock in Rio is probably my favorite concert of all time...so seeing them opening the Final Frontier Tour with The Wickerman, made me feel very emotional.

Nothing opens a concert like Aces High tough.

oh...and Bruce at his age is still jumping like crazy
