Fuck, I have the urge to get Green Day because of RB3. Game didn't bomb hard enough, should be 30€ by now :lol

Well, I hope it's cheaper when the World Cup's over.

I'll be doing the same once my Best Buy Reward Zone bonuses come in. DAMN YOU HARMONIX.

Say what you will, but I really liked Green Day RB. I like their music though so maybe that's why. I didn't see (or have) any issues with any of the gameplay. It's just like the Beatles game in that regard. If you like Green Day, get it. If not, why would you? Although I just picked up AC/DC and I don't care for most of their stuff, but it was less than 10 bucks new. I should smack myself :/

"Deal with it."

Thanks

:lol So cold.

:)

Does that mean a couple songs are getting relicensed?

..Or actually, their devkits have Enter Sandman and stuff on them, so maybe that's just there. We'll still get 55 or whatever.

if it were 58, I'd assume they just had all songs unlocked on their dev kits....but 57...well, Ozzy's back now....so it looks like we're getting that Metallica pack after all

Green Day Rock Band ..... 44
LEGO Rock Band .... 45
Rock Band ....... huh?

How many were there on-disk? Was in the 50's right?

Fake edit: Hmm.. two more than the 55 that were originally exported.

You're right.. So everything except for Run to the Hills, perhaps? Since they have the original available and would want you to buy that instead.

Yeah, Run to the Hills would be the obvious missing one...but either they bypass any locks and all 58 show (as has been in past demonstrations), or the lockout still exists, and they selectively allow two back into the setlist. It'd be pointless for them to recode a new lockout just to prevent a double listing of one song that noone willsee

I swear Gamespot are taking the piss, they have Power Gig playing in the background and no sign of RB3 whatsoever.

I want Enter Sandman back :(

I hope to fucking god they are saving the Metallica pack for realtar. I practically was taught guitar by Metallica tabs, their songs are a lot of fun to play on real guitar and would be challenging for most people.

Yeah, that'd be a pretty big deal.

I doubt Ozzy's participation in GHWT had anything to do with Paranoid not exporting. RttH didn't export and we know Maiden weren't exclusive to anyone.

I don't think the 57 songs means anything. It's like you'd say: RB2 is missing, will not export :(
not really a parallel there at all. No RB2 just means they haven't run the RB2 export to that system. In this case, they did run the RB1 export...so:

If they ran the export normally, it'd show 55
If they ran the export without the block, it'd show 58 (this has been seen before)
but since it's 57, it means they either created a new block specifically for themselves (which is absurd) or we're going to be seeing the block on two of the songs lifted at some point.

Or, they're labeling the master versions of Tom Sawyer and RttH as RB1 songs and not DLC (thus outright replacing the covers), and either the Paranoid cover or Enter Sandman is at E3. Probably the latter. Bam, 57 songs.

I don't remember who was freaking out about RX Bandits, but I should mention that they're likely going to be in the RBN store on Monday. Along with The Raspberry Ants song I did, since they passed about a half hour ago. And if it doesn't show up tomorrow I think Meshuggah is gonna be there too.

So awesome! Thanks for the update. Can't wait to play it.

Just realised Super Easy isn't in RB3.

Harmonix hate teh casuals, first they start charting blue and orange, now they're forcing them to hold frets at all

There's no super-easy in Green Day either. Only in "Family" titles. I'm sure Easy is no-fail by default, so there's that.

RBN saves another horrible week of DLC :bow

Same here. Metallica and Smashing Pumpkins (mid 90s).

Didn't dave say 11/14 or 10/24 and lean to 10/24? I recall agreeing to the 10/24 speculation.

I have a feeling that PX guitar will be much more leinient when it comes to failing. They have to curve it, because without playing a song many many times you can't consistantly nail solos or really technical riffs. Expect a lot of repitition to climb to the top of the leaderboards, especially if you aren't familiar with a real guitar. I think that's what I'm most excited for, I know not everyone will like it but its going to extend the replay value for me by a lot.
