Yes, I love buzzer-beaters but yesterday I had a ball literally most of the way past the line and the game still ended. You should have to clear it for the game to actually end in my opinion. Would make things more tense.

Eh, I like the "the game ends once the ball touches the ground" rule and don't really think it needs to change.

Yeah, they need a way to re-initiate matchmaking directly from the post-game screen. I think I understand the logic behind why they did it this way though - its probably to prevent AFK players from staying in queues

Well, one button press would be enough.
I think devs are already working on a lot of stuff but they really need to take the momentum of the game with them.

I'm no programmer so maybe it's not doable but I would think instead of worrying about X number of set playlists it should work like a simple filter, factoring in a handful of variables, i.e. Game type. Arena. Min / max skill level. Ranked / unranked. Server. Something like that with Random as an option for each variable . Then you hit search and it finds a game that matches exactly what you are looking for.

Playing ranked is good, because people are less inclined to abandon a match halfway through leaving you with an AI teammate. But I don't like having to search for a new game all the time. For that reason I play more in unranked, because everyone automatically carries over to another match, unless they quit.

I haven't played a private match because there's very few people on my friendslist playing when I am(AU time).

Same here. It also seems like I'm getting a way higher percentage of quitters as soon as we're down a goal.

The vote to forfeit shit shouldn't be an option until you're down 3 goals.

How can I have played 264 matches , 49 hours, reached Pro status and still suck? I don't get it.

So...in season mode. The AI combatants have varying levels of stupidity right.


HOLLYWOOD is the dumbest AI teammate ever. Waits until it has a straight line score..and can score pretty consistently doing it, but is USELESS defensively, and doesn't have a lick of other moves.


GOD they are frustrating.

In my experience, AI players have indeed different levels of ability in season mode, but I'm not sure if the same player has always the same level of ability, or it's randomized (meaning that, if you play 3 vs 3, for instance, you'll always get a good teammate and a bad one).
I usually play with Merlin and Slider, and Merlin has been very good for me, he scores lots of goals. Slider is more average.

the AI is random. sometime goose and maverick set up shots for one another, and IMP usually stays goalie but i've had matches where my teammates are awesome and then are incredibly stupid the next game. its usually a gradual slide though.

had an awesome hat trick last night. just kinda tapped one in, got a lucky hit off of the faceoff and insta scored, and then had an aerial setup shot knocked in by my teammate only for me to touch it at the last possible moment to count the score for me. (I deserved it after the aerial i had)

Is there any way to check how many hours you have played in PS4?

I have around 35 hours on Steam but im sure I have way more on the PS4, and yep, I suck too, I play by myself in 2v2 ranked and just stay in 550 rank points, a bit more and a bit less, but around that score always. Incredibly frustrating.

Personally I wish the game ended on the next touch after the ball hits the ground, but that's just a personal opinion based on seeing a couple too many wide open shots where the ball lands on(or near) the goal line with < 0 seconds left. Game over! No goal!

I'd like to know this as well.

I play 2v2 ranked with a buddy on mine and we were on an upwards trajectory until around 650 or so, then its kinda been pushing and pulling and were back down to 550 now :(.

I really gotta start working on my aerials. I suck ass at it and I feel like shit if I go for one, fuck it up and then they score.

The aerial training is actually quite good (although I still suck at aerials)

I'm really starting to think unranked is a superior experience. Yes, people quit, but those people usually suck and you get an AI teammate to fill in (so not shorthanded) for the 20-30 seconds it takes to find another player -- and there is a chance that the new player might actually be competent. If not, they most likely will quit and the cycle repeats and comebacks usually ensue as you weed out the crappy players and superior replacements actually stick around and turn the tide.

In ranked, crappy players either 1) quit and leave you shorthanded or 2) want to forfeit early and grief you if you don't agree or 3) keep playing seemingly having no idea how much they suck / are costing you the game.

One of the car parts tracks game time. You could add up the time attached to all the options you have used.

I hope the devs don't revise their view on ranked solo queue, since it lowers the average skill level by virtue of some people playing with total strangers. It never has any place in anything remotely teamwork-oriented and the fact parties were initially omitted was ridiculous enough as it is.

Any word of the sound bug? Where you lost all audio when starting a match and when the match ends, the game gets stuck in the loading screen.

Just had a 4 minute overtime round and it was the most intense session I've ever had. My opponent had insane ball control and I was doing my best to counter him at every turn and finally score and I was loving every minute of it. Dude eventually gets the winning goal and bids farewell with a nice message tell me to suck his dick. Thanks for the lovely bookend to that amazing game. :|

I really wanna play this game some more but it's taught me that my hands have outgrown 360 controllers in the years since I last used one and now due to a lack of grip, my old pad for my PC is giving me some serious aches in the joints on my ring finger and little finger since there's nowhere to grip onto and they end up in some odd claw position.

Never noticed this when playing more relaxed games with a controller but the intensity can get insane. I'd look at using my PS4 controller instead but worried about ripping up the sticks on it.

6 or 7 minutes is a much closer estimation for match length once you factor in time between matches, time after goals, etc.

That last game, holy shit. Constant chat spamming and trash talking. I had this urge to just sit down with all the other players in the room and have a meeting face to face to see if they really could be as awful or if it's something that could be fixed.

So much anger in some folks it's really sad.

I dunno. I think when it's online it's kinda fake. I do it from time to time (mildly) and that's not who I am at all.

I've had mostly good experiences online, but have ran into a few wanks that were incredibly fucking annoying.
