Do you guys think there is some kind of "world tendency" (ala Demon's Souls) type thing going on behind the scenes in ranked? This question is more serious than not, and let me explain.
I will have periods that last a few days to a couple of weeks where I win the majority of my matches, matchmaking seems fair, teammates seem solid, etc. And then it will go the complete opposite direction for a similar timeframe. Lots of salt, teammates who DC or actively play against me, and losing more than I'm winning. Matchmaking will usually seem a little unfair at these times too (e.g., a Plat 2/Gold 3 enemy team versus my Plat 1/Gold 2 team). It's like there's some unseen force saying "we're going to help you out or stack the deck against you this week."
I know the easy answer is that I'm an inconsistent player, most of this is coincidence or in my head, etc., but it just always feels like I'm either in a "light" or "dark" period. Apologies if I'm not making tons of sense, as I have only recently emerged from one of the saltier sessions I've had in a while.
