I love NBC's tennis coverage, especially when there's no American player to follow. Show a few games. Show 5 minutes of commercials. Do some all sports recap segment I don't care about. Show 2 more minutes of commercials. French Open presented by <5 sponsors>, we'll be back with more live coverage! Show 3 more minutes of commercials. Meanwhile whole sets of tennis have gone by.

I shot people I like more for less.

It's hilarious. Still haven't gotten with the times. Jus wait for Wimbledon if you are not on yhe east coast. Its starts at the same time in all time zones so you miss at least an hour.

Fucking hell. I didn't realize how early Genie and Carebear could meet till now. ;-;

Who will I root for? I gueeeeeeess Genie winning would be better? I seriously have no idea. So I will root for Kerber because she always loses when I do so. lol

Edit: Phillip better get rid of Mugray.

Bouchard should lose, the hype needs to cool down.

Roland Garros organization can fuck right off. Putting the Maria x Stosur match on Lenglen and Bouchard x Kerber on Chartier. Not only that but the last match AND AFTER fucking Isner and his thousand tie-breaks. Wtf. Are you fucking kidding me?

Bouchard should lose, the hype needs to cool down.

Embrace the hype, the hype is real.

What the hell. Murray was 3-0 and seemingly cruising in the 4th set. Contrived to lose it and is now down a break, after breaking himself, 3-2 in the 5th. Needs dat Lendl intensity back.

Gasquet getting squashed by Verdasco. Atta boy Richard.

Edit: that was sick by Kohlschreiber there

Hopefully Kohlschreiber actually plays well tomorrow instead of dumping the first two games they play. I've always liked that dude.

Bouchard is overhyped and not a contender here, but I would still like to see her rubbish Kerber tmrw.

Dear god all these insufferable five setters and two suspended even on a day of clear skies. Tomorrow's schedule is a mess.

Raonic (servebot), Isner (serve bot, five sets tie breaks guaranteed) and the endless Murray match before Maria. I am pretty sure she wont play tomorrow. :( Thats not even considering possible rain delays.

Fuck this schedule, seriously.

So this is probably a dumb question, but why aren't there any lights in the court to keep the game going?

I remember this happened too in Wimbledon a couple of years ago when Isner and Mahut played the "longest match in history" or whatever. But I understood that since the court they played on didn't have the lights installed either. Is this the same reasoning as Wimbledon's or is it something else completely?

Man, stopped watching after Murray gained a 3-0 lead in the 4th, though it's going to be academic. Tennis for you.

I think its some "tradition" bullshit to not have lights. I'm assuming the french open could afford installing lights if they wanted. Shit, even my old highschool tennis courts have stadium grade mercury vapor lighting for night play

Idiocy.

What was is in the end? Kohli & Murray.

They stopped play at 7 all in the fifth.

Gulbis is never winning a slam. He doesn't have the spirit.

Gulbis will win this tournament without dropping a set.

But seriously: if he beats Federer, I will root for him to beat Djokovic (if they meet, of course). Djokovic was never going to win this anyway and I much prefer Gulbis's DGAF approach.

Also, Gulbis has a perfect record in finals :)

Crap, it looks like ESPN 360 won't be live streaming any of the matches tomorrow.
NBC has TV rights for the weekend and their coverage is only from 1-4 pm

The Australian Open coverage by our Australian network in Australia is virtually the same thing.

Nervous for Fed tomorrow. Gulbis will provide his first real challenge of the tournament.

And why does Tsonga have to play Djokovic :( I wanted him to go at least to the quarters

What a start from Genie. Wow, really impressive. There was nothing Kerber could do there. Winner after winner.

Simply stunning tennis from Genie. She might make her second grand slam semifinal in a year. :O

And I am sorry Kerber, but I think I might have to abandon my fan status for you. Completely useless out there. No fight, bad attitude, awful serve and court positioning. Not willing to cheer for a player who is not try and fight in her bad days. She was such a good player in the last two years, I have no idea what happened to her.
