correct about everything
federer getting in form gulbis and berdych back-to-back. if bloody tursunov caused him trouble no way is he making the semis.

Nice finish from Verdasco. He was a bit defensive with his forehand at times and was content with moving Gasquet around, but it was fine, since Gasquet wasn't being aggressive at all and wasn't very solid from the baseline.

Only watched first set but Bouchard played solid, not spectacular tennis - simply stepped in and attacked a very passive Kerber.

Thank heavens Berdych took it in three.

federer playing terrible. all gulbis has to do is keep the rally going and federer will probably miss within two shots.

edit: fortunately gulbis is a clown. fed breaks back.

Watching Fed and keeping score of Murray's match through the scoreboard on RG's site - it takes quite a while until the score is updated, which i take as that there are epic long rallies going over there.

Wow, clutch from Fed. He's been losing too many tiebreaks this year. His reaction showed how important that set was to him. I hope he loosens up now. He's been missing too many forehands.

Federer will be destroyed by Berdych if he plays like this.

One match at a time, buddy. Could be Fed won't beat the Berd in the QF ( if he gets there. This match is not over. ) though you never know how a player will do on any given day. I still think Federer is capable of rising to the occasion, though anyone expecting him to win this particular tournament might need to adjust their expectations.

Gulbis has to settle down. He's so much better than this. Should be up a set and a break.

only reason he came close to taking the first set was because federer was playing even worse than he was. if you can't take advantage of an opponent playing horrible tennis, you should not be up anything.

....which is why I said he needs to settle down.

I was saying IF he play like this. Berdych has been solid this tournament, so Federer needs to play a great match. And we all know Berdych always gets a hard on when he plays Federer.

But first things first, Federer has to get by Gulbis, like you said.

Edit: Opening for Federer

Edit 2: Serving for the set!
