Not while Tim is around. They'll probably end up under the Saber Games umbrella.
Interesting - is this game probably Blackroom? what type of setting was that game? Not while Tim is around.
I was lucky enough to get to see Blackroom (The Kickstarter FPS before this). It was pretty damn clever and looked very good. I've not had the chance to see the new FPS, but I do hang around with some of the Romero Games guys, and they are all great guys, super chill, as is the man himself.
I doubt it. He talks about it in the book, but without going into too much detail it was a cross between something like Westworld and Prey. You are in a VR theme park basically, but with automatons or projected NPC, I can't really remember, and as an Engineer you have deeper access to the experiences, so when things go wrong you try to fix them. You had abilities which related to altering the park in real time, or moving between different "themes". It seemed a little like System Shock til he "programmed" himself a new weapon to take out the ghostlike bad guys in a straight up action sequence before going into another theme. I saw it in his Galway office before Covid so its been a while, and I won't add much more than is in the book here, as I said I meet up with some of the guys regularly.Interesting - is this game probably Blackroom? what type of setting was that game?
Willits and Romero need to bury the hatchet. Saber is doing pretty well for themselves without Embracer. Not while Tim is around.

I'd play a remagined Daikatana boomer shooter.what if this is Daikatana 2?Nintendo has to step in and make it fully N64 controller compatible!
QuakeDude is so stuck in the past, all he can do is make doom conversion levels 30+ years later. Lets be honest, after doom he didnt make even one good game.
if romero games was a medical patient, they'd be described as being on life support...Yeah theyre still alive. Theyre just gonna lay off 80% of their staff and have no ongoing project. That's all.
Maybe Microsoft can scoop them up! I think it's a perfect game pass game
I think it may have been a jestMicrosoft is reportedly the publisher who yanked their funding
I think it may have been a jest
lol thats still bigger legacy than all of xbox historyDude is so stuck in the past, all he can do is make doom conversion levels 30+ years later. Lets be honest, after doom he didnt make even one good game.
Old men hold grudges for a long time lol. Also, Willits as refuted by Romero, Carmack, AND American McGee. Sounds like he might be the one who needs to apologize, and that will require a lot of pride swallowing lolWillits and Romero need to bury the hatchet. Why in the past? He's literally trying to carry on and get a success instead of capitalizing in his pastDude is so stuck in the past, all he can do is make doom conversion levels 30+ years later. Lets be honest, after doom he didnt make even one good game.
I'm hoping that everyone bounces back quickly, some teams should even self-publish their next projects.
