#28 LETS DO THIS

for what it's worth stro, I think that Austin is the GOAT
I just watched this and the 2008 Royal Rumble matches.

Batista was so over in 2005. It's crazy how he goes from being a nobody to the most over superstar in the company within a few weeks. Vince tearing his quads is a sad sight to see. The 2005 match was decent, nothing particularly special. The final four being Batista, Cena, Edge and Rey was a nice touch.

2008 was good, but I think that's mostly thanks to Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. They do a good job of staying active throughout the match until their eliminations. It really stops the action from becoming too stale. Batista also enters quite early, and you have three huge stars in there at the same time. It helps that it felt like a real big time match overall thanks to Batista, Cena, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Undertaker all being in it. That's the five biggest stars in the company at the time all in the match. Cena's return is pretty crazy too.

Maybe it's not obvious if all you've seen of the Miz is this week's Bad News Barrett segment, but WWE don't actually portray him as a loser at all. The dude has 15 minutes of TV time every week because they think they've got a good PR figurehead in him. If he's not wrestling, he hosts his stupid talk show or (God forbid) he's on commentary. None of these (except commentary) he's aggressively terrible at, but it's been years of this now.

I know I'm going to regret ordering the PPV because Sting ain't going to show up. But, I'm ordering the PPV incase Sting does show up. I will mark out hard!

27?

I think I am taking this RR.

I won the first GAF RR when Alberto completed his destiny and won the biggest rumble on history.

Today I will become the 2 time GAF RR winner.

Will there be a chat set up for this or everything done in the thread? Can't wait to get liquored up, tell everyone Steve Austin is awesome, and watch Curtis Axel win the Rumble.

Watching 2001 Rumble right now.

#28 for lottery? not too shabby!
2001 Rumble is best Rumble.

I think number 24 is a good pick. Previous winners include Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Rock. Considering both Batista and Bryan are either of the likely winners, and will probably show up somewhere in the 20s with some entries between them, I'd feel good about that number.

I still don't think they would bother giving Batista two Rumble wins. That's way too special to give to someone past their prime.

Rumble Lottery!

I don't fancy my chances.

Hey, did anyone plug legitshook.com in the last few minutes? I wrote a whatsit about Royal Rumble '92 that has some cool gifs and a chart and junk in it. Here's a spot you can look forward to seeing Brodus Clay recreate tonight (maybe).

Could have used some of my gifs from my 92 review if you want.

Read it this morning, loved it - was pleased to see you as the author. Keep doing it :)

I don't think it'll be Batista tonight. I will be legit shook if he does win it. I expect a feud with him will kick off tonight regarding the elimination - but who?

ADR. It's written in the stars. ADR will get the win at EC. Batista will get his win back at WM. They'll then have 8 PPV matches in a row.

My prediction is Orton loses the belt to Cena tonight, and eliminates Batista in frustration because of their encounter on Raw. Bryan then of course wins the rumble from #8thedream

#30, huh? Has anyone ever won from being #30?
Undertaker and Cena in back to back years.

It's got to be Batista. You don't bring this man back after four years and not have him win. That would just be some bullshit. Batista/Lesnar, Wrestlemania 30.

Believe.

I gotta believe.

Punk however has at least a small shot at winning, realisticly he's the only one of four entries to have a chance at winning, so you should be pleased.

If Punk wins I will change my avatar to anything you want for the rest of my existance. That's how conifdent I am that Punk won't win. Pen Pen aint goin nowhere.

Are there seriously only 4 matches on this card? One of which will most likely be 5 minutes of the Big Show being sacrificed to build up Lesnar? That's a lot of backstage dead air.

I really want this spot to happen, but I doubt it lol:

Cesaro enters Rumble and does the big swing to someone. During the swing, he hits everyone else in the ring and knocks them out lol

the other wrestlers would have to put a LOT less effort to make punk seem spring chickeny
