  • CM comes down to the ring as number one.
  • Y2J's theme hits, but he doesn't come down right away.
  • He appears but when he comes to the ring it's revealed to be Christian!
  • Y2J comes from under the ring and dumps CM Punk out of the ring!
 
CM Punk is beaten down by the Outlaws and The Shield before the match. Daniel Bryan has the shit kicked out of him after his Wyatt match.

Before Punk enters as #1 him and Bryan hatch a plan, to both include Bryan in the rumble and to get them both in fighting shape. Rumble starts, #1 comes out, CM Punk's music, he gets to his knees.. "IT'S FUSION TIME" the crowd gasps, Bryan runs out CM Punk and DBry fusion dance and become a singular being. They go on to win the rumble, but split upon victory. Kane then gives them magical earrings that will keep them fused forever. Because they will need all the strength they can get to defeat the streak at WM 30 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

I'd like to see Cesaro being the only one left in the ring with Zayn entering as a surprise entrant. It would be a in-ring great segment and the perfect way to advertise the live NXT show on the WWE Network. It also wouldn't be unprecedented due to the shit they tried to pull to get face Bo over last year.

Does anyone actually want Randy Orton to win? I am totally rooting for Cena. Orton is HORRIBLE as a champion. He's more boring than Cena. That's like a miracle.

I'm with you. Orton holding the title for as long as he has is just as baffling to me as how long ADR held the WHC for. Like you guys seriously don't have anybody with a pulse that could hold those belts instead of those two corpses? They literally suck the life out of the crowd. I'll take Cena over them any day. At least he gets a reaction, albeit mixed.
 
Orton is an upper midcarder who's consistently pushed beyond his level, to the point where everyone started believing he's a main eventer.

The only time I enjoyed Orton was during his Legend Killer run, but that's as much due to the legends than it was due to him.

Buyrates tell the rest of the story really, nobody wants to watch Orton fight for the title.

Even though he's not scheduled to be in it, they're all eliminated by Cena because, lol Cena wins.
 
I haven't watched wrestling in awhile, but I'm pretty sure Orton's been terrible ever since they gave him the Stone Cold lite Viper gimmick.

Didn't Orton's first title reign go so badly that they had to push Batista into the WM 21 main event? Admittedly, I don't think that was too far removed from the Triple H buries everyone era, so that may have been part of it.

Well it's for the best they went with Rock/Austin for WM there, but Kane should absolutely have been booked stronger in the wake of that rumble performance, instead he spent the rest of that year with all the belts that weren't the WWE title like hardcore, tag team and IC titles.
It's like a running trend with Kane to fumble him when he's being booked strongly, like in late 2002.

I'd actually been on a break from watching WWE at that time and happened to turn on the Raw after SS2004 and was surprised to see Orton with the belt which in turn had me watching again up to the next ppv Unforgiven where HHH did what HHH does and cut Orton's run short which sent me straight back to being on a break.
So maybe the first reign does have some merit, but that's it, even Orton's main event feuds are weak.
 
HHH really did crush Orton. That made no sense, especially since Orton was one of HHH's handpicked guys. Completely destroyed any and all momentum he had for years. He didn't really get back to that point until 2009.

Orton is the fucking worst. ZERO charisma, awful mic skills, bad in-ring, doesn't sell merch... you're virtually guaranteed a boring chant from this guy. Never have I seen a crowd care less about a wrestler in my life. I'd take Cena over Orton any day.

It fucking baffles me that Orton is going to win tomorrow and face Batista in the "main event" of Wrestlemania. Vince loves him, Hunter loves him, and that's the end of it. That's all he needs.

This would be ideal, but a bit optimistic. I don't think there will be any cool surprises. No Jake, no RVD, no Sting. It'll be like... Jericho. Sheamus. Boring.

Most likely winning the rumble is Batista, because Batista is their guy. He's a movie star. They just brought him back, and they're not going to dump him over the top rope. Bryan won't be involved at all because if Bryan is eliminated, the crowd will go apeshit, boo the rest of the match, and boo Batista for winning.

Reigns is definitely going to have a huge match.

Final four will be Batista, Punk, Reigns and probably Sheamus.

If you think Cena isn't going to be the Champ going into WMXXX you're crazy. He might not win tomorrow, but he will by the end of EC.
 
I don't really mind Orton, and with the right opponent he can have some damn good matches, but he's not really best for business.

Hey, now there's how you can get Bryan into the main event at Mania. Let John Cena use the Cena Clause to let him in so it can be a triple threat. If Bryan doesn't win the rumble and Cena goes into WM as champ, I'm sure that's how it's going to work out.

if Batista wins, than seriously fuck this company. Dudes been gone for years and is old as fuck. Lesnar, Punk or Bryan should win. Lesnar prob wont because Vince needs to show ppl tgat WWE>>>>>>>>UFC and make Brock look weak when the much less talented big guy buries him

HHH did a good job or ruining that 2009 feud as well. Books a storyline that only makes sense if Orton wins at Mania then at the last second decides "yeah I'm going over".

I don't know, I think the worst shit about this program so far has been Show's "strength" spots which consist of him waving his arms whilst Brock/Cesaro/Swagger jump 10 feet in the air.

Oh man, the amount of eye-rolling I did when they recycled that spot with the Big Show/Mark Henry match. Even more annoying when announcers treat it as if it never happened before all while Big Show came out the next night on Raw and and brought up how he had done it again. Cole is the worst but Lawler isn't any better when it comes to when Vince/Kevin Dunn gets them to shill... It's so insulting.

I thought his promo was pretty awful TBH. I do miss the days when guys could cut promos without having them scripted word for word. So few of the guys now would be completely lost if they had to ad-lib something.

Heh NGW, reminds me of one of the E-Feds I was a part of back in the late 90s. I think we had a spoof "rumors hotline" character too.
 
The first one nearly killed the big show.

But back then Lesnar was smaller and the big show was still the big fat show so I bet it'll go off fine this time.
