RPGers: To complete or not to complete?

I've been playing some catch up with some RPGs that I missed the last couple of years. And I'm playing one (that shall remain nameless) and am about 20 hours in, but I've just lost interest in the story and game in general. Fights are fun, but I'm just not that interested to keep going for some reason. So the question for you fellow RPG players, would you finish it as I'm about 3/4 of the way. The completist in me says go for it, the other part of me says move on to something else. We all know that you do 75% of your fighting in an RPG in the last 25% of the game and while its been fun, and I definetly don't hate the game, I just don't really look forward to playing more of it. What say ye?

Really, what's the game? It's hard to tell you to continue or not if you don't tell us the name of it.

you know I really like RPGs (& SRPGs) but I don't finnish most of them. Some of them just drag on waaaay to long and I lose intrest.

RPGs I have started but not completed:

FFV
Dark Cloud
Disgea
FF9
FFTA
Vagrant story
xenogears

Dark Cloud is the exception on this list because I stoped playing it cause I hated it. All of the others I really liked, but just lost intrest.

I'm also on a RPG backlog completion binge... it does feel good knowing you completed it.. don't know where this urge comes from though.

With Xenosaga ep1 I can't seem to get past the last battle.. and in that area its rather hard to level-up and I don't have many items left... some day… perchance!

Don't bother with sidequests and garbage, just finish the main quest and move on. Use a guide to help you, even.

just use the grande kaiser (or whatever the big robo is), i think it takes two turns w/ that if i remember correct :-/

Every RPG have played I have completed, but thats probably dueto the fact that I have not played that many. The main attraction of an RPG is the storyline IMO and if you dont enjoy that, then I wouldn't bother playing it, unless the battles are very very good.

Yeah, with Erde Kaiser (and it's extremely easy to get it) the last boss-battle is pretty easy (though you can use Erde Kaiser only once per battle and since the last boss has about 16000 HP and Erde Kaiser does only 9999 damage you must attack normally a few times).

eh, if you're 3/4ths through I'd just grab a FAQ and finish the game.

I've finished a bunch of rpgs that I disliked by the 50% mark. But then I'd just read the Japanese faq databases and rush the 2nd half to see if it maybe got better and because I can't really give a fair review on an rpg I haven't finished (story-wise at least).
