That intro though. Sublime. Loved the cartoon because of it.

That's one thing about 80s cartoons that I don't miss. I'll always remember that cognitive dissonance that came from being blown away by premium animation in the opening of a show, only to be let down by the actual animation in the episode itself. I'm glad that's not such a chronic condition anymore.

But yeah, the Jem was opening was especially impressive. It looked rotoscoped.

First heard of this in passing, but then it got used as a joke in Yu-GI-Oh Abridged, and that got my attention. I've only seen like 5 episodes, but I want to see more. I do love the theme though.
