Just when you bought a 5060TI

Well if it causes people to wait in theory it should drive the price down of the current models. (Admittedly assuming that Nvidia doesn't just stop producing them in the near future.) Guess we'll see.

So, the difference in core count between 5070 and it's Ti brethren is almost 50%... And how does the increased memory bus not equate to any more memory speed? Are we cooked bros?

I hope this lower the price of the current 5060 ti 16gb so I can finally get a new pc and move on from a gtx 1070, i7 5820k, 16gb ram, and 1 TB HDD to a RTX 5060 ti 16gb, Ultra 7 265, 32gb, and 2 TB SSD.

Bus widths havent changed, why would speeds go up?
The 5070Ti and 5080 base all use 32GBps modules Nvidia just software "gimps" them, afterburner gets all of them to meet the 32GBps spec.

The 5080s in terms of power is still useless and weak to compared to the 4090. But at least it has 24 gigs of vram and multi frame gen to offset the power difference of the 4090 if priced right .

But the 5070 ti super makes the 5080 the most useless card ever released in recent history. Jesus so close in performance but cheaper and 24 gigs .

The only half winners here are the people that got the 5090 FE and people that didn't sell their 4090 for dirt cheap fearing the 5000 series performance

Any guesses or rumors on the MSRP?

The 4080 super replaced the 4080 for a cheaper price ( mainly because the 4080 was a rip-off)

The 5080 isn't selling very well, I would believe. It seems these cards have the same Cuda cores for the 5070 Ti and the 5080 Super. There is a high chance the 5070 ti super will be 750 and 1k for the 5080s as it seems they are going to be replacing the current cards.

Aka, the actual cards and not the gimped version we were given.

Edit: never mind, still gimped as fuck, just not as much.

Edit 2: Holy shit, those cards are useless. They will discontinue the current models.

These cards are great if you skipped the 3000, 4000 and base 5000 series

My Turing bros its time to move on!

Just more VRAM? Cores count seems the same, only 5070 is slightly higher
5070 gets 5% more cuda cores but it's insignificant. The 5070 already has great levels of compute but the VRAM holds it back going from 12gb to 18gb is going to be chefs 💋. The upgrade in performance will be similar to the 2080 vs 2080 super unless they increase clocks significantly which they may, seeing as Blackwell OCs incredibly well.

This is hilarious. New cards only just came out and barely any stock of them now they are already releasing revisions
This is normal Nvidia has been on a yearly release cadence for ages. Data center it's Blackwell year 1, Blackwell ultra year 2, Rubin (new architecture) year 3, Rubin ultra year 4.

Consumer is Ada year 1, Ada Super year 2, Blackwell Year 3, Blackwell Super year 4.

The bus is the same size (192 bit) so bandwidth wise only faster clocked memory memory will increase bandwidth. The 5070 isn't very bandwidth bound so a simple OC bringing you to 700+GBps should be fine.

Meh outside the bumped up VRAM 3GB modules. Unless they price them well (don't see it) I'll wait a year or so for UDNA.

Modest MSRP price increase. Like $50 or $100.

They usually do. I could see them maybe cutting the MSRP of the 5070 to $499 and keeping it around but that's a big maybe.
highly doubt it. they are using the same CUDA cores for the 5070 TI super and the 5080 super. These cards are just going to replace the current cards.

the most interesting card really here is the 5070 super. that card for the same MSRP of the 5070 with 18 gig cards is a killer card to buy for mid range pcs

5070 super finally gets to be the card it should have been. The low core count (half of a 5070 ti) and paltry core bump means it may disappoint except for the VRAM limited situations. It will still be a slower card than the 5070 should have been in the first place.

No core increase for 5070 ti super and 5080 super means the gains will mostly be in 4K or VR, and it will be better prepared for next gen. The longevity will be a lot better than the 5070 ti I just bought which disappoints me. The real question will be pricing.

I bet they will stop producing the current models after stock is depleted. They already don't produce enough of these things so they can turn the shutoff valve right before a new product launch.
I'm on to these green vultures.

could have bought a 5070ti and i'd still feel pissed off because that card has less vram. only now when i decide to upgrade they come out with "new cards in the works with 24gb vram!"

this is the thing about tech i suppose
Nvidia has come out with a refreshed Super version since the RTX 20 series, you know it's going to happen, this is entirely on you for not having a tiny bit of patience my friend
