Think of it this way, 5060ti 16gigs is 429$ msrp card, streetprice actually close to 500$ with cheapest model at 472$:until the next slew of consoles ups the VRAM standards again the difference between the 5080S and the 5080 will be nearly nonexistent. They´ll probably up the standard frequencies, but that`s something every 5080 owner can already do, too. The 24GB are more future proofing than anything else.
rtx 5080(which has avg perf of 207% vs 5060ti 16gigs so over 2x stronger) with a msrp pricetag of 999$ and actual streetprice, even in the US which is cheapest worldwide is 1389usd for cheapest model with worst cooling
Now should such a product offer same amout of vram or rather at least 50% more? Answer it urself
