Has anyone got a count of the tries from rolling mauls so far? I'm pretty sure they account for at least 50% of the tries scored so far.
I hope they change the rules after this cup, this is utterly boring.
Happened an England maul against Fiji and England just ran through and scored a try. Wasn't called back.Hmm, I wonder if this can be exploited for defending the rolling mauls. Just get a bit back and lose contact to the front players once the ball goes back. Interference.

Depends on the ref spotting it. It's been tried twice before in this tournament and the ref let it go.
There has to be a way to keep mauls a good attacking option while giving defences a hand with them. I don't think non competing is the way forward for it.Yeah, unfortunately depends on the referee.
Hat trick for Allen. Not bad.

Jesus that's the second Welsh injury this match? No luck at all for them.
Proposal to sort out mauls: allow players in mauls to be sacked, regardless of if they have the ball or not.
They trialled that rule a few years ago, didn't they? I think they ended up getting rid of it (and keeping others, like the two props on the bench) because they didn't think it was safe for the players.
Can't think of many other solutions short of banning the maul though.
