Can't wait to hear what Jonny and Clive have to say ....

(EDIT: my bet is on "should have dropped a goal")

England lost a perfectly winnable game. All in all there were like 5 minutes of rugby. Ugly game, really.

Meh, I'd argue England should've been reduced down to 14 men at least a couple of times. For most of the game, any time Wales got near the 22, they'd suddenly find an English player lying over their side of the ruck.

Congrats to Wales. Huge heart and determination to come back and win. From the displays of both sides tonight I think Australia will smash the both of them. High on drama but low in technique. Robshaw made a ballsy call for the lineout but it backfired and now it's a complete shambles.

Wales were a shambles in the set piece and were very poor in the first half and weren't really in the game for so long. England took their foot of the gas but threw it away. They had that game won. Blew it. Lancaster made some brave selection decisions for the game. I don't think they went so well as imo Ford would've steered them to a decent attacking performance. Farrell and Burgess were good enough and got them into a decent position in the game. But fucked up terrible by replacing them.

If England don't improve massively and beat Australia then they're fucked.

My housemate said it would be a tight game but i didn't think it'd fall this way!

Woooo hooo! Amazing how much energy we had at the end of the game. A win at Twickers, fantastic and surely Wales can't have any more injuries, right? So close, right down to the line. Great.

Everyone's gonna focus on the decision to kick to touch instead of the goal, but the real.fuckup came from the resulting lineout. The maul had failed every single time yet they went for it again and blew it straight away

Unbelievable choke from England. Lancaster's going to be in serious hot water over his selections, subs and general crappy on field discipline.

I have sufficiently calmed down.

That was one of the greatest rugby matches I have ever seen. Even if we lost, I'd still regard it as an amazing game (poor discipline notwithstanding).

Both teams played valiantly. England led for most of it, and deservedly so, but Wales clung on until the very end, waiting for the cockups.

So, it's looking like this match will mean England is out of its group. In their own world cup. Effectively knocked out by Wales. In Twickenham.

I am trying not to smirk.

Fuck yes, mess with the dragon and get the...err, breath? Either way, to many people I work with winning a game is less important than beating England when we play them.

After this, quarters look like being:

Australia v Scotland
Wales v South Africa
New Zealand v France/Ireland
Argentina v France/Ireland

(He says touching wood that Scotland beat Samoa)

We could be out in the quarter finals or even the semis, and nothing would take this moment away from us.

Now we find out who all the Welsh gaffers are.

I'm a Welsh convert. My wife and son are Welsh and I live here in Wales now. I have followed Wales in the rugby for the last 7 years as I found it a bonding session with my in laws. I didn't care for rugby until I met my wife 7 years ago now the six nations is my most looked forward sporting event every year.

When is football going to learn and look at rugby and say that's how you do it. Refs treated with the upmost respect, captains spoken to to pass messages on to the team, no cheats and hardly any bad refereeing decisions

Yup. IMO it wasn't the decision that was wrong.

Anyway, fair play to Wales, they came back strong and deserved the win! I just hope we can smash the Aussies and get through second.

Phew! Relieved more than anything. At least I'll sleep tonight.

Hadn't realised the Fiji game was on Thursday. All too soon.

Indeed, with such a short turnaround and a growing injury list against a rested Fiji things could well go downhill for Wales before the week is up, so there is still hope for us England fans.

Congrats to Wales for tonight though.

Plenty of hope still for English fans. All you need to do is beat Australia at Twickers, which you've done the last 2 years.

Even if Wales lose to Australia you should have the bonus points to get through.
