That last RuFlections video legit made me depressed.

Good gracious if it was bleak.

And rugrets was hilarious with that touch of sadness.

She's the stand out of the season, no question, I don't see anyone in the top 4 getting to her level.

And all this talk about porn and queens... I need an adult.

I need the bitch to do more RuFLECTIONS even if she needs to call em something else. I was living for that. RuGRETS its fun but the thing about it was mostly focused on RuPaul drag race with a bit of the daily life stuff.

Does anyone else feel like there's no real stand-out, crown-worthy queen left in the remaining group? I mean, of everyone there, I'm glad Pearl and Violet are where they are, but I felt like Katya was the closest to being what the winner should be.

It's been established that this crop of girls have been completely mediocre.

Ru can just throw the crown into the audience for all I care.

That Katya dumpster gif is everything to me. She's actually referred to herself as a dumpster woman on Twitter a bunch, so I screamed when I saw it in the video. It's her brand!

I feel like they hella blew their load* last season, with the top 3 being so, so strong and pretty well known as well.

Katya was the most pleasant surprise this series, and now :(

*Ayyyyy

Apparently Chris Crocker (Leave Britney alone guy) auditioned for season 8, he said he's been doing drag for 6 years even though what he did wasn't really drag, I think the only reason he wants to do it is because he saw what it did for Adore, he's been friends with her for years and he wants a piece of that. I don't think he has it in him at all.

I don't think Adore has it in her either to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised at all if she drops drag in the next few years.

If she wasn't an american idol contestant she would have been eliminated in the first couple of episodes, Serena Cha Cha style.

Come on, Adore is nowhere near the plane of hot mess that Serena Cha Cha exists on.

Haha poor Serena, I don't know why I root for the under(below under)dog.

The thing is that Adore is a singer, or pop artist, and is using drag as a promotion for it, but at the end is something I don't think she's passionate about, Serena at least loves drag and wants to improve as a drag queen.

Of course if you are really good at something the way Adore is a singer you already have more presence and charisma than lots of drag queens out there, but without that particular aspect what does Adore have as a drag queen that would have made her stand out?

I saw that and Jayy Von Monroe from Blood on the Dance Floor got high in voting polls for Season 8 cast, don't actually know if he's auditioned or not. That would be really weird if they both got on. I could imagine Chris Crocker getting on simply for his 5 minutes of fame years ago.

adore should never have made top 3. drag seems to be a side thing to being a singer. she coasted by thanks to charm and a large fanbase... kinda like a certain someone in the top 4 🌚

DragCon in LA this weekend O_O And it's super rainy lately, lol.

And I think Adore was kept mainly because she went in with a HUGE fanbase, as did Courtney but on a lesser scale. I don't think she would have been axed too quickly since she at least had spunk which some of the earlier girls lacked COMPLETELY but she avoided the B2 far too many times like Fame IMO.

At least his porn venture is public information, so he's got nothing to be afraid of. I've been a fan of his boy face ever since he embraced the scruff.

Yeah, I got that impression from last season as well. However, her Angel Baby channel has been going on for a long time and that's basically the drag persona she was doing before drag race. I think she does enjoy doing drag. It's just that her trashy aesthetic suggests otherwise.

I never really got Adore, certainly not as good as the others in the top 3, maybe not even the top 5

She actually thought about transitioning for a while as a teen since she wanted to live as a girl at one point.

Yeah but she had the narrative backing her. We've seen many times with this show, that narrative is just as important, if not more so, than talent.

She actually thought about transitioning for a while as a teen since she wanted to live as a girl at one point.

Huh, I did not know that. I actually had the chance to see her live and it was a fun show so I think girl or drag queen, she'd be a good performer.

She mentions it in a bunch of interviews. (I heard it from Feast of Fun) Before Idol, Adore was super femmy with long pink hair or something and stuff but was told to "butch it up" a little by her mom.

From Rolling Stone:
So, when did you first get into drag?

In high school I dabbled in drag. I used to compete in singing competitions, like at the Christian college by my house. And I, like, lived basically my life as a girl from 14 to 16. Right before I auditioned for "American Idol" my mom made me kinda cut my hair off, but yeah, I was wearing make up from, like, 13 to 16, and I was like completely a girl from 14 to 16.

Were you doing that just for fun, or did you really want to transition and live life as a female?

I was always, like, ambiguous. Is that how you say it? When I was turning 16 I talked to my mom about transitioning and stuff, but that was before I went through puberty. I was a late bloomer. I guess after I saw myself looking butch I was like, "Wow, I should be buff!" So I kind of had a change of heart, and when the "American Idol" thing happened I was just, like, "OK, you're a boy now."

I kind of want them both to make it, just to shake things up. Crocker would be a real livewire, lol. Imagine the Untucked drama.

If I didn't know it was drag I wouldn't suspect a thing
