R.I.P. to this guy
Exactly. The kind Putin would love to be his opponent come next election. He sounds like the kind of person the Russian people wouldn't vote for anyway.
The CIA should Trump this guy into office like Russia did to us. That and keep his bloodstream freshly stocked with anti-poison serum.
Definitely not under Trump. The West should start playing by the same rules as Russia. Finance the opposition. Run counter-propaganda against Putin. Unfortunately, that's not gonna happen.

It just would not work. It's something that Putin knows can happen so he does let opposition exist. But he controls how much voice opposition has. If he sees that anything goes the wrong way he has complete control over the information. The only reason why he has so much power over the western elections is because there's freedom of speech there. So there's no way to control Kremlin's propaganda.
I somewhat disagree with you. Kremlin-sponsored propaganda is working in the West mainly due to social media. Yes, there is freedom of speech, which helps these ideas take root (and networks like Fox News confirm the right wing's biases and the Kremlin narrative), but social media seems to be the main factor. I assume Russia has access to YouTube and social media. Though the traditional propaganda mechanisms are under Putin's hands, we could do something to start undermining the Kremlin's narratives and state-sponsored media by using social media. Like they're doing to us. Freedom of speech or otherwise. Even if they end up blocking Western social media, they'll create their own platforms, that can be infiltrated. Unless you're North Korea, the internet really makes it easier to disseminate opposing views.

Radio Free Europe is a joke.
Are they?
I believe that public opinion on the USA in Russia has never been lower.
Heh, fitting.Navalny has been around for a while, and lead huge protests in Moscow. He's as been jailed before on trumped up charges.

There's a Blackadder joke here somewhere.
I may be getting my vocabulary wrong and I'm not well versed between the different factions fighting in the Middle East, but how would the current government - a dictatorship - be referenced as separatists. Wouldn't that be the rebel faction?
and Republicans are very belligerent on [Russia-related] issues."
Not anymore.
Guy is probably funded by Putin as a way to root out additional dissent.
