I am a huge yakuza fan, but this is just to wacky, the earlier games where mostly serious with a element of wacky, this just looks wacky.
Tho i like that the brawler combat is back, but i feel they are milking this series to hard atm. especially since it seems its canon since it takes place in hawai and nele island.

Still will play it day one, but way to much wacky bullshit, mostly play these games for the story. since the influx of 0 fans everything is just "roflzomg look at nugget" "never killed anyone btw" etc

But Assassin's Creed is based on different locations since ever, so every game can be it's own thing, like Final Fantasy or Far Cry. Yakuza is basically a tv show, which every game is just a new season, so makes sense being at the same location

Oh I know all that, merely saying how people say this with AC despite this not really making any sense considering they have different locations each game.

With Yakuza, I think they should have went to more cities, maybe allow you to go to more islands to really break the game apart or something.

Like, Judgement should have never used Yakuza 6's map, this illustrates this wasn't something based on merely Yakuza, this was based on them simply seeking to cut cost to reuse a whole map, its why i feel having islands can help make that much different. Have em take a bus, show a loading screen, they got to some docks, show a loading screen.......island lol

Sorta like Yakuza 3 (even though this was done thru the plot, it shows that going from 1 place to another place could be done by plane or boat via some cutscene)

The dopest thing that could happen (which is why it will never happen) would be for RGG Studio to genuinely make a fantasy RPG with Ichiban as the protagonist (he can get hit in the head and imagine all of it while being in the hospital or so) and use Dragon Quest for real as the setting. And they should call it "Like A Dragon Quest". I bet Yuji Horii would be on board.
