09:40 - are we getting remixes from the SNES games?
Literally no one cares about the timeline in a fucking monkey gameThe DK timeline is even more nonsensical now.
The game looks amazing, though. Haters eating crow now.

Yeah, it sucks having a life and responsibilities that get in the way of "better actioning."You guys just need to action better.
I've had:
Walmart Online Preorder (I later canceled)
Bought at Walmart in-store on launch day
My Nintendo Store invite to purchase
Amazon invite to purchase
I could have four of them already if I wanted.
Yeah, it sucks having a life and responsibilities that get in the way of "better actioning."
Give us a few words on what you'd like to see.
It's not an open world game and Nintendo have used this kind of structure and gameplay objectives since the N64.Man, going open world really did a number on Nintendo. Zelda, Mario, this... giant open spaces with non existent level design for the most part, brain dead easy obstacles and collecting tons of shit.
I don't know know what country you live in, but here in the US Amazon isn't stocking new Nintendo products. And I registered for a Nintendo Invite immediately after the Apr 2 Direct... checking my email for the invite every day... nada. Just let it go dude, it's not as easy for everyone as it was for you.Half of those was just pressing a button on a website that says "Please Invite me to Buy This", not exactly a big commitment. I've got a full time job and three kids too man.
Yeah I 'm not seeing fps drop, I think DK has hit stop when he punching the rocks and enemies and people mistaking that as fps drop.

You're maybe on to something. You can use each ability once a day and after that you have to pay 1£ everytime you want to use it again.I might not be a huge Nintendo fan, I nitpick them a lot.
But there is potential here. They have shown some powerups and also ability to create terrains. Could be a lot of fun if used properly.
Though I do feel this stuff is used by them to create hype, you get this stuff for a short duration and are able to use in a limited way.
But either ways, there is potential here.
update i just clicked the let me know when its in stock thing on wallmart so hoping its not long be for i have one at last. It's not that easy everywhere bro. I live in LA. Every day I check to see if it's available anywhere.

I completely disagree, I personally LOVE the artstyle here.I still can't get over how aesthetically ugly the game is.

Maybe due to being turned into a rock, Pauline is reborn as a child.
Or this is actually Pauline's child. Pauline the 2nd.

It's nice for Nintendo's first 1440p? game, but my problem lies on EPD Tokyo's art style.I completely disagree, I personally LOVE the artstyle here.
You don't understand. With the release of Donkey Kong Bonanza this changes everything we knew about the original Donkey Kong from 1981.I find it odd that some people care about continuity so much. Interesting in a physiatrics sense though.![]()
Again I highly disagree with you I love Mario Odyssey artsyle and recently replayed on my Switch 2 and it fucking gorgeous. It's nice for Nintendo's first 1440p? game, but my problem lies on EPD Tokyo's art style.
Super Mario Odyssey was the worst offender, that game was an ugly, inconsistent mess just for the sake of being quirky:

I generally agree -- I don't hate Odyssey, but its overall direction was the worst they've taken for the 3d series in a long time. Galaxy (1) was absolute peak. 3D World was actually very nice in how it handled the Mushroom Kingdom faithfully. Odyssey felt like a drug addled mess. It's nice for Nintendo's first 1440p? game, but my problem lies on EPD Tokyo's art style.

The true appeal of Mario was on its classic kodomo-muke aesthetics (first pic related), not this overly cartoonish direction reflecting Western influences, which kinda works for Splatoon, but not for Mario. The Broodals are so fucking ugly.

There are some framerate dips, but I do think that a lot of people are confusing the hitstops for lagged frames.Yeah I 'm not seeing fps drop, I think DK has hit stop when he punching the rocks and enemies and people mistaking that as fps drop.
Didn't mean to push a button. I'm sure you can make it make sense.Literally no one cares about the timeline in a fucking monkey game
I think the Broodals do look dumb, but generally I think they're treating the game like a toymaker would. It's purposefully clashing and cheesy at times. The T-Rex and the real life humans don't match and they don't even make any attempt to have it match. It's like a kid with toys from different companies just playing and having fun. There's lots of varied costumes, the random feudal Japan level, it's just kind of a catch all style. It has the random pixel art 2D levels too. I wouldn't say Odyssey is my choice for best art style ever. It's almost post-art style parody. It's nice for Nintendo's first 1440p? game, but my problem lies on EPD Tokyo's art style.

Fuck are you on? Odyssey, and BOTW/TOTK had some of the most inventive, innovative and creative platforming and puzzling solving ever.Man, going open world really did a number on Nintendo. Zelda, Mario, this... giant open spaces with non existent level design for the most part, brain dead easy obstacles and collecting tons of shit.

I mean that it's okay if you like it.I'm sorry you didn't like it?
I was actually thinking on this, Galaxy and 3D World were by the same Tokyo staff as Odyssey and Bananza, so it's an extremely weird shift.I generally agree -- I don't hate Odyssey, but its overall direction was the worst they've taken for the 3d series in a long time. Galaxy (1) was absolute peak. 3D World was actually very nice in how it handled the Mushroom Kingdom faithfully. Odyssey felt like a drug addled mess.
I'll still probably play and enjoy this game but I hope they change direction and push back the Odyssey team at some point.
