The first two seasons are my favorite. S used to my favorite, but on a rewatch, the resetting on Usagi's development and pacing issues started to bug me. It felt like that got worse with SuperS and Stars, but I do think Stars handled the series ending well.

I consider myself a bigger fan of the manga than the anime. It definitely a lot more story-based than the anime, but I preferred how the manga handled Usagi's development since it didn't start to regress it at the beginning of every season. The story is really suspenseful, and the Outers don't get shafted like they do in the anime. However, the first arc was definitely rushed, which Crystal may have shown.

Echoing Pluto on the live-action being a must see. I thought it really handled the characterization the best.

Yeah, I noticed that, the colors of the stones in act 13 are all wrong, the colors actually fit Rubeus, Esmeraude and Demand more.

So in Crystal, the Senshi spend a combined total of 6 minutes and 29 seconds in active battle, and then the Senshi were knocked out of battle for a combined total of 15 minutes and 29 seconds. That's hilarious.

Once this is all said and done, I'm going to go through the manga and do pannel equivlants.

I bet that it'll be more in favour of the Senshi, chripes.

I've already been reading the manga sidea by side while watching the episodes, and they'replaced already removing dialogue for the Inners which helped show their personalities.

That and the actually killed baddies instead of being complete jobbers.

"Houston, we have a problem."

On one side, why would they air the old ones? Are they TRYING to scare away the viewers?
On the other hand.. those are supposed to be for Blu-ray customers. :v

It'll probably reach more customers being on regular tv and (persumedly) airing weekly instead of bi weekly

The article/announcement doesn't actually say anything about weekly/biweekly. We'll know those details soon, I believe. What I'm imagining, is that either they will air it weekly constantly (which means that they will catch up/surpass the episodes on niconico, which makes sense). Or, they could be airing it weekly until they catch up with niconico. And then either niconico will start broadcasting weekly to correspond with the anime, or the TV anime will go from weekly to bi-weekly.

I guess there are many ways, lol. My first guess would be that at least the TV anime will stick with a weekly schedule since it's easier to change niconico's. But the article implied that niconico's schedule will stay the same. So I guess the TV anime will be the primary one (with weekly episodes), then you'll be able to watch after on niconico bi-weekly (which probably turns into a secondary place to stay up-to-date with the episodes).

Always wondered why this was not getting a TV run, I mean it is Sailor Moon after all.
Hmm.. I'm not sure how to answer this. It could be many things. Perhaps they wanted to see how it was received among fans first? It's not like it was a HUGE disaster. There are still tons of people who love it, although a lot of people can see what's wrong with it and agree that it's the worst Sailor Moon adaption so far. Maybe they were working on an agreement with someone, or had this planned out all the way. Who knows?

If they're only making 26 episodes in total, then the TV broadcast won't catch up anyway. They'll show episode 15-16 or something on TV if it airs weekly in July when niconico should be finished with all 26.

Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 14:

SO the Dark Kingdom arc finally comes to a close with a very oddly placed finale. I am not going to lie I think the first anime series had a much better paced finale as we have the main evil killed in about 8 minutes so that leaves so much more faffing about while we wait for everything to go back to mostly the status quo. On the bright side since this is based off of manga continuity everybody gets to retain their memories in this version. You can also see the different priorities each version had, this one was much more about the central romance and the 1990 series was more about the team. Anyway, this would be our jumping off point with everybody living happy and the world at peace but since the manga chapters are already complete we are wasting no time in heading into the Black Moon arc and then the world cried out for the elder demon has been released from her prison once again and Chib-Soggoth has been summoned to make our nightmare become real.

--I liked the addition of Artemis seeing Human Luna.

--Haha, there is the kiss scene that the R film stole.

--I also liked the anime-original scene of Usagi forgetting her homework.

--Still they cut down on Rei's dialogue. Come on.

--Also, that napkin shit is creepy.

--Chibiusa sounds adorable. Great Voice Acting pick.

--Next episode is Rei's episode. Maybe Crystal can finally stop nerfing her characterization.

Definately the most evil that's for sure. I like Professor Tomoe the best, he has the best evil laughs!
Yup, if Wiseman is the most evil villain, Tomoe is the funniest one.

Finale was uneventful as hell until Lover of Unicorns showed up and made Usagrenity Run Them Jewels!

At least we're at my favorite arc now so maybe we get upturn in all facets of quality now?

They changed the villain in Rei's vision.

Of course,
we meet them all in the next episode anyway.

Well, I suppose all things considered an episode that was, for better or for worse, pretty on the mark following the manga. An early debut for anthro Luna('s back). And hey, they even added a bit of humour not in the manga, although it feels a bit out of place here. Really, this isn't the important episode for the direction of the show. as that's the next one.

Well, not a bad episode but I agree with the others on here, with the original series doing it better. The manga had a good take on it too, but they did change that and all...

So next episode has "Sailor Mars" in the title
I forgot she's he first to be abducted, isn't she? Well, less Mars this series!

I also compared the episodes to chapters in the manga. Looks like whenever Crystal 2 gets announced, there will be 29 episodes. Didn't realize S is only 10 chapters long.

I loved episode 14, best episode so far, nothing looked wonky, more animations than the past few episodes ( I think, nothing bothered me at least lol) and the scene with
Chibi-Usa
looked better than the old anime version. ^_^

Boring, slow, ugly. This may be the first show I've ever actually continued watching even though I hate it.
I'm more surprised you didn't complain that the next episode is a Rei episode. :p

Wait, we're already at R?
The tailend of the latest episode starts the Black Moon arc, so yes.

Yeah, I enjoyed it myself.

This is awesome.

Momoiro Clover Z vs KISS

Just wish the KISS part was a bit higher/more obvious, but otherwise an awesome video. Great animation too.
LOL, that was certainly interesting.

There's really nothing that KISS won't do, huh? Hah.

Kinda cool, though. Too bad that they're just sorta...there.
If the 90s anime was still going I'm pretty sure there would have been an episode where either Rei or Minako had a duet with KISS.
