Basicalllllllllllllly :D

No but seriously I really want to see what they do with the software. I hope they have some new stuff, they have been kicking ass software wise for about the last two years. Also want to see if we get a nice LCD screen.

I'm just cautious of how much of an upgrade the 3 would be over the 4.

The next Android OS hasn't been announced yet so you could have both running the same base OS and I'm sure with the godly amount of GS3s out there, touchwiz would be updated on that too.

The only complaint I have is the lack of being able to move apps to the sd card.

we already know what the upgrade is: bigger screen, better screen, better cpu/gpu, better camera, slightly better hardware quality, better battery life.

That's pretty much it. Samsung will probably ship the S4 with the new touchwiz with all these new features and then purposely delay it on the S3 or something.

the htc one is sexy as hell, hope this phone surprises, despite the silhouette.

Between HTC One, Xperia Z and the Galaxy S series, we must admit that the OEMs have (finally) learned how to make proper flagship phones. Hopefully they will soon optimize their ranges too.

Anyway, this is exciting! 3D display, the rumors say. I really can't see why they would do that, considering so many people seem to be sworn enemies of the gimmick. I'm mostly interested in how they change TouchWiz. The Nature UX is pretty terrible, imo. They better get it right with S IV.

So it's like a Note 2? :p

So it's a phone that's a couple inches bigger with upgraded internals? Is the internet outraged at this as well?

it actually is getting a lot of heat for it lol, not as much as iphone heat of course, but it's catching flack by people on forums and comment sections and all the other places nerds on the internet congregate.

The bart (subway) station in san francisco i use for work was decked out in samsung / note 2 / secure work environment ads recently

Cant wait for the reveal

I'm very excited, will most likely be my next phone.

Hopefully we'll see a new Nexus phone soon, love me some competition.

Nexus phones normally release towards the end of each year, so, don't count on that. We may see the X Phone in Google I/O though.

Im gonna wait for the next Nexus, or one after that. My Samsung Galaxy R is serving me well.

New SGS will definetley bring more power and services, but Im way more interested in stock android OS.

Samsung make the worst Android UI of all the big companies. I used to like Sense the most, but the Xperia Z has changed my mind on that front. Hell, even LG make a nicer Android UI than Samsung. Samsungs is just so bloated and requires too much work for the simplest of tasks.

Completely disagree, Sense is a bloated ugly piece of crap that has things buried in layers of shit. Touchwiz is fantastic, colorful and cartoony yes but feature wise and ease of use its the best and has only gotten better over time.

I'm still rockin' a Galaxy S (Fascinate). I hope this thing is as solid as the S3 and is coming to us soon. It's tiiiiiiiiime for an upgrade.

You guys better hope the build quality isnt the same as the S3 or Note 2. Because those are shit. I own one.

It's gonna end up being an S3 with an aluminium going all around it at the least, and an S3 with aluminium around it + slightly less rounded at the most.

So do I and its fine. Funny I had to exchange my 920 for build quality issues, never had to do this with a Samsung.

Is the S3 build quality worse than the S2?

My s3 broke while doing nothing and they refuse warranty, while my s1 endured so many falling and other stuff and never a problem.

I made the happy switch to xperia Z.

Im betting it will be just an s3+, but we will see. Im done with them.

Is the S3 build quality worse than the S2?

The same. Sides are easy to scratch and fades. Screen can easily get scratched too. Sides not tough enough to prevent dents.

While its great to hold with this naked, accidental drop results will leave a mark easily.

lol come on son.

I own a Note 2 and it's holding up fine (bought on launch day). It has fallen a couple of times and there are scuff marks on the aluminum edge but other than that, it's fine. It's definitely not the best in the market, but it's not shit. Let's be real here.

you realize they're releasing an ACTUAL S3+ right? They're refreshing the S3 with better screen/battery/whatever else. So that's how you know at the least the S4 will be more than that.

I really like this idea. They could try and push the S3 to a $99 subsidized price, then have the S4 at $200.

I know, might have been better to say s3s. I think samsung will continue with the same design language (nature crap etc.) So i think the exterior will be quite similar! However, hardware wise im sure it will be an absolute beast.

Cons and pros the s4 will have (i think).

Pro:
- removable battery
- sd card support
- best hardware available
- no more pentile screen
- smart additions to android like smart stay etc. (tbh i never used it on my s3, since for me it didnt work good at all, but the potential is there)

Con
- no more Amoled
- Plastic build (to similar to s3)
- touchwiz crap/ugly UI

Im really wondering though if they have an ace up their sleeve, but i cant really think of anything that would really wow me (as in flexible screen etc.)

I think it will have an OLED display but whether that is in all regions is the question. And whether that's even a negative thing is opinion. I'd personally rather have an SLCD3.

Guess we'll see tomorrow.

i just love the amoled black. The leaked UI pics (if real) were very white so that wouldnt make sense when using amoled screens right.

Leave a mark lol. That's the understatement of the year. The S3 may as well be made out of sugar glass.

indeed but it will definitely use OLED in some regions so I wouldn't read too much into it. It could be a hint though that there will be some with LCD and they didn't want to make it too noticeable.

As long as it's a good LCD then everything will be fine. If it's a bad one...then trouble.

Thats me being real. I got the note 2 on launch too. First day it fell 3 ft. while im playing a music and left it at my computer table. Dent and scuff at bottom part.
My dog run into it while its being charged, fell again, tiny scratch and scuff top left part. Few days later, Tiny scratch on the screen for god knows how.

Note 2 is a beast and I love it. But as the high end mobile phone from a company, its build quality is shit compared to others.

Oh and you're being delusional if you think thats aluminum. Try to scratch it, you'll see it will get peeled off like the sides of the S2.

Come on son.

But whatever, to each his own. As for me I wont be buying another Galaxy if they stayed with cheap materials.
