Samus cameo in Federation Force revealed

We know it's a spinoff. This is usually the argument made when trying to justify the game looking like complete garbage.

Did you read his post then? Because it doesn't say anything about how the game looks, just that no one should be angry at Samus appearing as a cameo in a spin-off. No need to get worked up about that, gee.

An actual Samus cameo wouldn't work anyway, they aren't chibi people, they are chibi people in chibi mech suits so Samus showing up, even if she is super tall in her suit, will still look like some sort of child next to them unless she gets her own stupid robot suit so she can be like the players wearing a robot suit inside a robot suit.

I mean, it's not what I want from a proper Metroid game, but I wouldn't mind a cool little 3DS shooter.

I don't get the immaturity around this game.

Metroid is too big for Nintendo. Let's be honest.

On the hands of EA and the likes it'd be bigger than Mass Effect.

On that note, is this her ONLY cameo in the whole game including 100%ing everything?

We've seen an in-game model but don't know if that is just for the story intro/data log thing or if it will get used at some point in the actual game but I don't know. Maybe Metroids show up int he last mission and she saves you.

EDIT: Oh, and there is this Samus decoy.

Is it safe to say that Federation Force is sort of like the Ghostbusters 2016 remake of video games? Both caused a lot of anger and have caused some of the most downvoted videos on Youtube.

EDIT: And both caused a lot of "Grrr, stop getting angry about it, you manchildren!" comments.

I understand why they DMCA'ed AM2R, though. People would have trouble deciding which one is from Nintendo and which one was produced by a single person with little resources.

And here's the first "it's a spinoff" post.

But... it is?

I feel like I'm in the minority of viewing this as a low-budget spin-off and not a big-budget prime game (pun intended).

It's like expecting Zelda to show up in Link's Crossbow Training. I mean, did folks throw a huge fit when Cloud had just one small cameo in Dirge of Cerberus or when Phoenix Wright barely had any presence at all in the Miles Edgeworth spin-off series?

I often feel like the only one with reasonable expectations for this game.

Chie is the worst waifu
"Cameo"

After the thing went down I was expecting her to give the two dudes a thumbs up and jumped in her ship, but NOPE. It's just her ship. She doesn't NEED her ship to kick ass.

I wasn't expecting Samus given the themes of the game, but that's a pretty cool cameo. Kinda wish it wasn't spoiled by the tread title though.

I think people are a little too hard on this game. I get its not what we wanted, but it's by the team who did the very solid luigis mansion 2 and looks fun.

The real story here is that's mission 12 and the gameplay still looks hilariously bad. Like 'I can't believe this is made by Nintendo' bad.

Give this man an olympics archery medal - that's a bullseye.

Yeah I know, I mean that the player characters, when playing the game, are chibi looking feds in chibi robot suits while Samus is just in the Varia suit and not a chibi robot suit so in game play or cutscenes it'd look weird and awkward unless it's just a cutscene with the player outside of the robot suit used in gameplay.

Damn there's burns and then there's straight up murder.

Ah, that is a good reason for Metroid fans to embarrass themselves.
It's not. People are obviously pushing it.

The footage I've seen of the game is really off-putting. It just looks ugly. The DSi roots are clear so you have to forgive it somewhat but I just can't see the appeal outside Blast Ball.

I literally can't believe how awful this looks. I'm speechless.

This is the team that made Luigi's Mansion 2 on the same hardware!

What the fuck happened? Did they suffer some massive bloodletting of talent? Or is it simply (as I suspect) that Tanabe pushed a terrible, unsalvageable idea on them that they could do nothing with?

I just finished Super Metroid for my yearly play through the other day. I can't believe this is what the series has boiled down to. Just sell it off to a company that's capable of making it a thing.

Fuck Nintendo.

Guys? This is fucking incredible though.

Samus literally destroys a boss you were struggling with in one hit and decides that she's too good for this game and flies away.
