Holy shit, not even the music sounds like Metroid. Samus doesnt appear with Theme of Samus (or Theme of Super Metroid, that is use in all her stellar appearences), who the fuck though that was a good idea! Even the fucking Virtual Boy pinball game had the melody when you control samus on her ship.

...

I mean, to be fair she does show up with the equally iconic game start theme from the OG Metroid. Sure it's re-arranged and in the FF soundfont, but it's there.

Anyway I don't have a real stake in the franchise or game yet, but I understand the frustration people are going through. Hopefully Metroid gets some NX love.

I haven't been paying much attention to this game since the first trailer, but jeez, was this game made in 2004? Even Metroid Prime Hunters had better graphics and faster-paced gameplay.

Hard to believe we're not getting anything more than what could be seen as a spin-off for Metroid's 30th anniversary, especially after the backlash against Other M.

At least the Metroid Prime 3 ship design is still around. I like that one.

I mean Jesus, why is it the Chozo keep going extinct on every single planet they inhabit?

Humans and Luminoth are like the only competent species in the galaxy.

Because they're not as badass as the Luminoth.

What craven savages are the Ing! Trapped in the catacombs with no chance of rescue, I fought them to the last. I watched them feed upon their dead. I heard them pressing the lesser of their number into the front ranks, that my blasts would take them. At least their leader stood against me in battle. He was a foe worthy of a Luminoth warrior.

My journey comes to an end. The thrice-cursed Ing prepared an ambush of singular cunning in the mining station. They caught me in it like a neophyte fresh from the training halls. I have sent five score of their number to whatever foul pit they call afterlife, but in vain. My life is extinguished.

Let this be the final testament of warrior C-Rch. I have no more shells for my weapons. For the enemy, I have naught but the blade and fist. Let them come. Final entry, Warrior J-Fme.
Their army swells. Beasts and rogue machines join the ranks of the Horde, all eager to bring death to the Luminoth. The Ing sent these new additions to the industrial site to do battle with me, while they watched from safety. Cowardly mongrels! My only regret in death is that I did not live to see the day of their defeat. May it come soon!

I'm not mad, I think it's funny because it's a very meta item: fanbase gravitates towards samus, so what do you do? Create a decoy that keeps them off the federation.
