Staying on-topic, Simogo (Year Walk, The Sailor's Dream) just shared a touching interactive farewell to Iwata: http://simogo.com/2015/07/13/thank-you-mr-iwata/
Good grief, when was the second picture taken? So sad to see that photo![]()
I've never seen this before but wow.
Hiroshi Yamauchis Final Words to Satoru Iwata: Commit Suicide If the Wii U Fails (October 2013)
Yamauchi is an evil person. I can't believe that Iwata had to deal this monster on top of his illness. I think this guy really stressed Iwata out since Iwata probably looked up to him.
LOL. Iwata taking it like a champ.
RIP
other posters have said that was taken from a parody websiteFucking incredible, haha.
Wtf, Yamauchi.
Holy shit that's awesome! That's pretty awesome of them, Amazon UK have done a similar thing:

I'm on the same boat, I don't want to even play today or do anything else, it's weird :/
Don't know what to do with myself today. Just can't get into anything.
Ditto. Work has just been...blah.
I want to make a tribute but I just don't know what to do, I can't think straight.
I'm going on leave next month to see my 4yr old son, and he's so excited that's he's going to get to play Mario with daddy.
That's the magic of Nintendo.
We're going to have such a blast with Mario Kart, and 3D World and who knows what else.
I think so too, if you think about it it explains why Reggie said that Iwata wasn't actually apologizing, because he must have known how bad Iwata was doing.it's kind of really sad that pretty much he died right after having the apologise to fans over their e3 showing. that must have hurt.
Yeah. The photo was taken on June 23 this year with a Nikon D810.What really? Jesus Christ, he didn't look healthy at all, I thought it was taken at least a few months back![]()

You're not funny and nobody is impressed by this.
This is amazing. Everyone should do this.l
If could make a suggestion for those of you who are mourning but don't know exactly what to do. This might sound appealing to you.
Caring and tending for something that embodies someone you've lost is a really good way to cope with loss and helps with the grieving process. Plants are extremely therapeutic and healing. Specifically tending to and growing a plant is simply a good thing, it is constantly filtering air and so much more.
Try going to the store and picking out a plant that you think Mr Iwata would like or that you think embodies him or that just seems special to you. Find a special spot in your yard (or in a pot on a windowsill) and plant it in memory of him. Take care of it and depending on what you planted it could last for years, it could cover the ground for you to lay on with your Gameboy or it could tower over you and provide shelter for you as a tree for you and your kids to play under. It could be a cactus plant that would last the rest of your life or a flower that blooms only at night.
I am a community garden manager and I would be willing to help anyone with this as best as I can. Specifically with what soil to use for what plant and you can PM me if you ever have any problems or questions now and in the future and I will try to help you as best as I can.
PM a mod. They're really responsive and nice. Answered every PM I've ever sent. Quoting posts ad nausaem is not the way to do things. It makes things worse and gives the poster what they want. How do you report someone?

Damn, he looked horrible... Poor guy. One of my friends replied to a post I made on FB about his passing and said that bile duct growths are very treatable. If that's the case, I wonder why he/they didn't do more as far as treatment goes.![]()
Look how aged and sick he was few weeks ago, and still working. He knew his death was close, but instead of being at home, he decided to do what he loves the most: work!!!
To see everyone being so invested in the life of someone they never met is kind of weird and foreign to me. That said, Iwata always seemed like a cool guy in the Nintendo Direct videos. His influence in the industry was quite frankly, unmatched. RIP Satoru Iwata.
This is so obviously 'satire'.
This is fake.
P4R is a satirical website. None of this is based in any form of reality.
Dude, that is a hoax site.
P4R Gaming is a satire site, I hope you didn't know that...
What? this has to be some kind of sick joke.
This is a satire site, it's not real.
EDIT: too slow. Sorry.![]()
You know that site is like The Onion for videogames?
You know those people who post Onion articles on Facebook because they think they're real and everyone laughs at them?
You're now one of them!
This is not a real website, more of an "Onion" for video game news.

Man, fuck you cancer! FUCK YOU! I've seen so many people go through this horrendous transition because of you, Patrick Swayze, Dennis Hopper, Steve Jobs, and now Iwata.
This picture did it for me, I just couldn't hold in the tears anymore man, fuck, it's always the good ones that go soon...

It's such a tragedy to see someone so talented go at such a young age. Seeing the outpouring of adoration people have shown upon hearing the news, I can't help but feel like this is the end of a really special chapter in Nintendo's history. You can argue he made some missteps along the way, but when I look back and think about what Nintendo has put out while he was in charge, it really hits home what we've lost today.
"In honor of Yamauchis final words, Iwata has repeatedly stressed in later interviews that he will kill himself in a Nintendo Direct if the Wii U fails."
What.
