because he said it's not an indie title.lmao, why the (Not an indie title) ?
I don't want it to be console game on vita. That's not what the system needs. It needs a handheld game. Pick up and play.
There are a shit-ton of PSN titles and indies already dealing with that. I want a console game!
Agreed. Vita has pick-up-and-play covered like a boss right now. The system needs a really meaty, substantial experience designed for the system instead of ported to it years after its original release.
I don't remember him saying that. He did say that they are considering VITA and Tablets to utilize some unique features for FF XV. Kind of like a Second Screen, i think. If a dev comes up with a meaty full-budgeted game, then they'll rather make it a console game.
Actually, Nomura from SE stated that (capability wise) Vita is "too close" to PS3, at Famitsu interview or something.

The PS Vita is definitely a powerful device that is very interesting, but because of it’s high power, there isn’t much of a difference with a console.
So, how many people are wishing for a Dark Souls or Monster Hunter?

I'm saying I want a game designed for VITA. Not something that would work just as well on a home console.
I just can't get as engrossed in games that are designed to have the 'portable feel'. Short levels, less detailed storytelling, etc.
If we're talking a Vita game with the scale and scope of Birth By Sleep, sure. But I've had enough of games that are basically just a menu full of 15-minute missions with no context. The Vita's got more than enough of those already.
Demon's Souls 2 on PS4
Demon's Souls Vita companion game on... Vita.
that would be megaton
I hope for demon's souls 2, but any big and good exclusive (not monster hunting)game designed for vita is welcome, especially open world games(saints row) or rpgs(fallout)So, how many people are wishing for a Dark Souls or Monster Hunter?
A game designed for vita does not exclude meaty console-like gamesI'm saying I want a game designed for VITA. Not something that would work just as well on a home console.
Yeah i hate those, peace walker was the worst offender imo.I just can't get as engrossed in games that are designed to have the 'portable feel'. Short levels, less detailed storytelling, etc.

And i bet most people play their Vita at home/not on the move the most.

Didn't the SCEE exec teased the first letter of the game was a "P" ...or is it just my imagination ?
Absolutely. As beautiful and well-designed of a piece of hardware as the Vita is, it's not exactly portable unless you carry around a purse all the time. It's not designed to be carried in the pocket. Especially during the summertime.
Do you wear skinny jeans or something? Im only asking because my vita fits in my pocket just fine, everyone has their own experiences though.
I recommend everyone jusf forget about this until something (if anything) is announced. Before anyone starts flipping out, hes never said anything about Gamescome, so maybe it could be there, maybe it wont. Rainbow Six was rumored for Vita awhile back so maybe thats it, who knows though.
Highly recommend people keep their expectations in check.

I hate this logic.I hope so, would be a shame to waste a A-tier developer on a handheld game.
This is obviously completely unrelated to this particular game, but I know a lot of people want this to happen

Which i'm guessing explains why Adam Boyes and Gio Corsi were in Boston recently.

Every game in the history of forever would work just as well on a home console as it would a handheld.
I guess this game announcement is planned for Gamescom?
Game would be a year and a half away, at least, if it were going to be not a port of Bioshock 1, or any good. Not gonna get my hopes up.
That seems to be my mantra lately.
I think the biggest problem with Bioshock Vita will be finding the appropriate developer. It seems very unlikely that Irrational will develop it in-house, so it's obviously going to have to be outsourced. It's going to have to be given to a well respected developer or else the hype will deflate. I really think the best option is Sony Bend, but they're busy with something at the moment (probably a new Uncharted Vita).

I guess publishers see a future for the Vita now.
The Vita became a healty environment for indies and it proved that you can make a profit on it. (#strategiccontent) COD, AssassinsCreed, RaymanOrigins and more hit decent sales numbers.
Also, and thats a very improtant point, it looks like Sony is tying the Vita to the Ps4. RemotePlay and Gaikai will basically secure a very long lifecycle for the Vita and then there is PS+. Many people will get it because they need to play online on PS4, so they get all those free Vita games and purchasing a Vita gets more and more temping each month.
I think that gives them publishers some kind of security, they know now that its a plattform that has a future. I guess we will see a bump in 3rd party support in 2014.
Then where are COD and Assasins Creed? They have not even announced at E3 and announcing it at Gamescom would be a little too late if people buy the console versions instead
Tearaway.Every game in the history of forever would work just as well on a home console as it would a handheld.
That's the best way to get big franchises on PSV.Let Ken Levine lead and supervise but have a Sony dev team make it....we might actually get the game within the next 10 years
