It's pretty crazy that the biggest multiple game of the summer did not launch as a Switch 2 launch title and I cannot really think of a reason why it did not? Some people are speculating that it is because they are releasing The Dusk Bloods this year but I am not buying that excuse. It would only HELP sales of Dusk Bloods to have a popular game coming out BEFORE it by the same developer on the platform.

Was there any souls like on the switch? elden ring? dark souls? no? makes sense to not launch a multiplayer co-op spinoff on a totally new system when its (fan)base is mainly on pc/ps5/xbox

I guess Nintendo didn't send many dev kits out there.

Seems like CDPR got preferential treatment, they seem to be the only one with a competent port out.

You also have Split Fiction and Hogwarts Legacy.

Split Fiction is actually interesting, doesn't say "game key card" on it, rather "dowload required" on the box

yes at least according to steams daily player count. Nothing has come close.

Elden Ring itself isn't even on Switch yet. Tarnished Edition is coming out on Switch 2 later this year. I'm sure Nightreign will follow after that.

It DOES seem like a fun gameplay loop, as a single player gamer, even I will admit.

Also its CHEAP and no mtx.

Will I buy it? ehh maybe down the road after I see what they do with it. But the loop seems fun to hop in and out of.

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition has now thankfully been rated by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board and was given a M rating for Mature.

Who the hell is speculating that Dusk Bloods is releasing this year? That's some cope if i ever seen it. It'll probably come, but as always, Nintendo is permanently behind, so you'll get the game on there in 2026-2027 when it'll be completely dead on the other systems.

I think they skipped it because of playerbase.
Not many Switch 2 around and only a small percentage of players would be interested.
The game released about 1 month ago, and on Playstation it's already nearly impossible to find people to play with for most bosses, except the 1st, last, and weekly hard mode.
