Schumacher to quit F1?

Hmmm...hope he sticks around at least one more year. But if he doesn't, F1 defintely have two great cornerstones to carry them for the next ten years in Raikkonen (my boy!) and Alonso.

Interesting.... but I'll be hardpressed to actually believe that he hasn't had ANY fun this season. Especially with that awesome neck to neck struggle with Alonso. I hope he's not just bitter that Ferrari's tech's been letting him down this season.

We can but dream. Sorry guys but Ralph is often on the attack, and this is possibly provoked by the memory of Michael giving him shit as he crossed the finish line that one time (I really don't agree with what Michael did there, spoilt brat).

Still, if it does come true...

Don't let the door hit you on the way out! On second thoughts... do.

I don't believe it. Maybe he'd change teams after the season, but I'm sure he wouldn't quit just because of one bad season. If he does quit with a whiny kid syndrome, I'll completely lose the respect I do have for him.

I'd say he's got one more season in him. If Ferrari and Bridgestone sort out their problems he'll retire world champion at the end of 2006, retire as a complete loser... Michael... never. :lol

I hate to say it, but I think I would lose a lot of respect for him if he did quit following just one bad season after so long on top.

I don't think it would make him look very "sportsmanlike" at all.

He already lost that when he pushed past Rubens on the last lap of a race, it seems Ferrari's rule of "stop racing each other at the half-way point of the race" only applies to Rubens, because Michael is evidently above it.

The guy is no sportsman, has everyone forgotten how he side-swiped damon hill to win the title all those years ago? He's all about the winning, and now he's not winning he's gonna leave.

Still, i guess being a cock is part of what makes him so great. Senna was pretty much the same on the track.

Heh, let's not forget his blatant attempt to take out Jacques Villenieuve in '97...yeah Duane, I haven't forgotten. :lol Or the way he took out Fischella in Sepang a few years ago. When things don't go his way, Michael can be a nasty SOB.

This might just force Ferrari to split with Bridgestone and join Michelin...and if that happens, it'll be an all Michelin series, cause I doubt Bridgestone's gonna stay in F1 to supply Jordan and er, whoever the other team is.
