AD has no heart? What? It has tons of heart. You can tell how much the Bluth family loves and cares for each other in any given episode. Look at the interaction between Michael and his son.

Scrubs is fantastic, and way better than almost anything on television now-a-days. AD, however, was godlike.

Note: I haven't watched AD pretty much at all. So my opinion on this is null. I'm just trying to spread Scrubs love.

Scrubs maybe have higher TV ratings and more seasons but Arrested Development used to get much longer threads on GAF... which on the internet, means it wins.
Also, even though Dr Cox's character is brilliant (but getting a bit tired now), no TV show creator has ever/will ever beat GOB.

AD. Everytime I peel myself away from House to catch Scrubs it's the most boring shit I've ever seen. Most recent ep I caught was the one where the lead guy has to get the crazy doc who just killed 3 people's head straightened out and it was a completely banal grab at emotion. I thought for a second that the show might be mocking itself with the insepid drama, but there was nothing else to support that so I've pretty much given up on the show.

Scrubs without question. AD is good, but it doesnt make me laugh the way that Scrubs does.

You know, i actually put weight into peoples opinions when it was suggested here that house was better than scrubs...
My goodness it doesnt even compare to scrubs. Each episode is so damn formulaic.

House - Do an MRI
Foreman - MRI rules out ______ disease and _______ syndrome
House - Hmm what else could it be? Think people. Ask the patient if they've had a past of _________ and ________
Cameron - They said they've never had ________________
House - People lie.
Patients parents - my sons never had ____________
House - Foreman you're black, go break into the house and search for clues.
*Foreman comes back with findings*

Whilst I love AD, I find they weren't always "jokes" about previous/future episodes but "references." It kind of used to annoy me when someone would post one in a thread and people would start :lol'ing about it... It was clever but I wouldn't say it was always, necessarily funny.

I watched them back to back recently, and while I agree Arrested Development is smarter; Scrubs is also a hugely underrated series. In the end, one word decided it for me: "Analrapist". :lol (Which gives it to AD)
