I am in the market for a new King size mattress since my Stearns and Foster has recently gone to hell. I was just going to pick up something similar but went to a few bedding (yes, bedding) message boards and everyone was raving about latex (not memory foam) mattresses. Anyone have any experience with any of these Sealy Reflexion mattresses?

While I don't know anything about the latex ones, I can offer some second-hand opinions about the Tempur-pedics

My parents and my grandparents on my mother's side both recently got a Tempur-pedic mattress, and they've really been raving about it. My grandmother has had back problems and such for a while, and has said that she's slept better than she has in years on the new mattress.

My parents have also been quite saitisfied with theirs. They mentioned that on the first night, they had a really hard time getting used to it, but once they got used to sleeping on something that isn't a regular spring mattress, they're both sleeping quite well.

I had a chance to check out the one my parents got on a recent trip out to CA, and it definitely is weird. When you first sit on the thing, it feels like you're sitting on a concrete slab wrapped in felt. Initially there's very little give, but you slowly sink into it, and it starts to feel more comfortable. As it was my parents' bed, I didn't actually get the chance to sleep in it, but I can see how they'd be pretty comfy.

I have heard pretty negative stuff about the temperpedic products, mainly that they retain so much heat that you sweat a ton all night long no matter the temp in the room.

we own a bedding store.

Latex is the thing. High quality latex bedding will be likely heaven. it will wrap to your body shape but offer total support. and there is no effect outside of your boundary. Also it allows bits to go deep so your spine actually ends up in the best possible position. Best test is lean on one with your hand, there will be very little effect on the bed even cm from your hand so no valleys

When u get up there's a mold of your body on the bed for a few seconds then it springs back. U can get latex pillows to, which my wife swears by and they sell like Ps2s at launch.

But to buy a bed, go to a store a lay on the beds for a while. The only way to tell. If a store doesn't allow this go somewhere else.

Thanks for the advice... I tried out the Newport Beach and the Laguna Beach today and liked the Laguna beach much more. I was able to talk them down to $2350 including boxsping, tax and delvery. Any idea if that is a good deal? I looked all over the net and it seems like I am getting a pretty good deal.
