Connery's Bond films = the best Bond films

Dr. No! (1962)

From Russia With Love (1963)

Goldfinger (1964)

Thunderball (1965)

You Only Live Twice (1967)

Diamonds Are Forever (1971)

Legendary actor. He goes as an accomplished man, it's sad but it's also glorious, part of the cycle. A full life properly lived, that's a good one.

May he rest in peace.

The fella didnt do bad for a milkman from Edinburgh did he?
No one wore the white dinner jacket as Bond as well as Connery.
My mother was working as a tailoress, this would have been in the early sixties... for a fashion label in the UK when she got chatting to a model who had hooked up with Mr Connery at some point. She told mum that he was quite sure of himself and had shoulders as wide as a barn door ;)
Sounds about right.

For anyone who only knows his Bond work, I recommend trying to watch two of his other, maybe lesser known films.

The Hill.

And The Offense

Two great performances in two great films.

For me though I think I'll be pulling Time Bandits, The Untouchables and Last Crusade off the shelf this weekend.

Connery was one of those "institutions" people that I kinda felt like they would be around forever..
Rest in peace, legend

Wife beating, tax dodging Scottish separatist wanker...apart from that, RIP.

I think you posted on the wrong forum bud. I thought only the other side is desperate to still attack someone who passed away in the name of "righteousness ".

RIP to one of the greatest actors ever to live. Just rewatched The Rock a few days ago :(

Very sad hearing this news today. I know living to be 90 is quite the achievement but seriously, FUCK 2020! Dude was an absolute legend and one of my all time favorite actors. There will never be a better James Bond than him. RIP

I'm not sad hearing this. I imagine he lived a wonderful (certainly very long) life, and such a thing was inevitable.

I'd like to take the opportunity to remember the guy, and probably watch one of my favorites with him today.

Goodbye, you beautiful bastard. His impact on the cultural landscape is tremendous and he will live on in the memory of both neurons and binary for years beyond his mortal life.

Sean Connery was one of the greatest but damn he lived to 90 and had a long and great life. He's someone everyone can admire. I should go watch some old Bond movies.
