Maybe the billionaire can stay at one of his other dozen houses then? Say somewhere in the countryside where it won't be damaging business for hundreds of shops.
Trump should be more respectful towards businesses on 5th Avenue and just move his ass to a remote estate that is not in the middle of the city
This is something I've wondered about before. How much power does the Secret Service have over determining where the President can and cannot go?
Can he not, like, take a helicopter from the roof or something?
I feel ill knowing he was in a primary. Ever since he won, while I'm in public, I look at people passing me bythrough the lens of "possibly a fucking idiot and waste 9f oxygen"I feel ill just knowing he is President.
I understand this sentiment completely but there's nothing insane about that level of security. The POTUS is one of those most powerful people on the planet; there's really no such thing as being too careful.Pffft, that's nothing, when a POTUS comes to Germany the police locks down the entire city. Manholes get welded shut, citizens locked into their homes, nobody is allowed on the street. IMO they shouldn't let the POTUS enter any towns then, if they want a meeting in a safe place use an aircraft carrier or something like that, don't terrorize civilians with your insane security requirements.

That's why I see this place and wonder why he doesn't just stick down there and leave the hassle of crushing NYC behind. Just rope off the golf courses and helicopter in.He would be flying in Marine One, which is a pretty big helicopter. Don't know if a civilian landing pad could hold it.
I feel like he's probably going to spend most of his time at his estate in Florida.
Way too much bad press would come out of him staying at Trump tower, not to mention would affect businesses he owns.
Bridgegate all over again. Last I checked you can't dictate where someone wants to go. Trump doesn't own Fifth Ave. What a disgrace.

It's about the USSS securing a multi block wide perimeter around the building everytime he's there (and a permanent smaller perimeter when he's not).
I was gonna say that this is the first example of him not serving the interests of Americans, but I bet the country folk don't see New Yorkers as Americans and love this fuck-you to them very much. And since nobody in NYC voted for him, he probably doesn't mind destroying traffic and messing with their day.
So did he actually say he was going to spend a lot of time in his tower or are we screaming at strawmen again?
No rooftop helipads in Manhattan. Thanks to one falling off and hitting the streets. He would be flying in Marine One, which is a pretty big helicopter. Don't know if a civilian landing pad could hold it.
Yes. please. no way that would go horribly horribly wrong one day
On May 16, 1977, a rotor blade broke off a helicopter on the roof of Manhattans Pan Am Building after the copters landing gear failed, causing it to turn sideways. The blade killed five people.
The New York Times reported: Whirling like a giant boomerang, the blade struck four people on the roof-top madding pad, killing three instantly, then plunged over the skyscrapers west parapet. About halfway down the gray tower, the blade crashed into a window and broke in two. One piece of the blade continued to fall, whirling onto Madison Avenue and killing a woman.
