Looks alot better than the previous build. Great sense of speed too. If they aren't going to include an online mode they can atleast include the password system they had in Sega Rally 2 where you can post your time on the official site.

Looks a lot nicer, but what's up with the low quality "Dreamcast-like" reflections? I haven't seen any decent racers in a while use such a simple method. Even PSP racers are way beyond that...

Playing Sega Rally 2006 with a GT Force wheel, we found that the handling was very responsive, and the implementation of the force feedback was superb--especially when we landed after a jump or hit the gas pedal. The sense of speed was also quite impressive, regardless of which camera view we chose to play with.

As a devout Sega-racer fan, and after I watched the vids, I can now say I haven't been this excited about a racer since Sega Rally 2.

...now they just need to fix the pop-up/draw distance and then it would be ready for consumption

On another note... I'm praying they include the Lancia Delta from the original Sega Rally. That would bring back some good memories of playing the Saturn version for 8 hour sessions a day; which wasn't all too bad, as Sega Touring Car nearly made me a hermit.

Still say this should be an arcade game first then a next gen title, unless they have an arcade-only version planned. Hell, gimme that trailer for the next game, and I'm good to go. But whatever...as long as this game is good (and it looks promising, though that tarmac course looks wider then Waychel's forehead. And where are the hairpins?), it'll be an automatic purchase. Hopefully SOA doesn't leave it in Japan.

BTW, the Delta's defintely in the game...the Impreza passes it early on in one of the videos.

i dont have the money or the time to play arcade games. gimme a console/pc version any day. i wouldnt mind if they made it for arcade as well, but i need the home version.

an next-gen can get their own Sega Rally game, i want this sucker now.

To be honest...after watching the vid I realized that if it wasn't called "Sega Rally" I wouldn't care about this game at all.
