Since this was buried in 8-Bit fools game thread , thought it deserved own thread.

They are currently countdowning for 10 days , site has her glorious boots. If this doesnt confirm i dont know what does.

Background comes from Bayonetta 1 art
Site link was hidden in Steam achievement images of the little Bayonetta flash game

It's a lot more than speculation at this point. It's happening.

I would take this with a grain of salt, it is April Fools afterall today.

Day One. Day Zero. Day Whenever the Pre-order Goes Live. I won't even wait for a Steam sale, that's how hyped I am.

And we know this isn't a Bayonetta 3 countdown because?

LET YOUR DREAMS RAGE ON

The background of the site uses promotional art for Bayonetta 1, Scarborough Fair and all.

Maybe you should wait for the actual announcement before making a thread like this on a day like this. It could be Bayonetta Bloody Fate for all we know.

Although it's likely that's what this is, it still hasn't been confirmed yet so the title is more than misleading.

Well how do we exactly know that it is a port of Bayonetta on Steam?
Any hints or just real speculation, because no other option possible?

How is this
a) Bayonetta1
b) in any way related to steam
c) thread title not prefixed with [SPECULATION]

I believe the URL was found in one of the achievements of the 8-bit Bayonetta game that came out in Steam today.

Yeah it's not officially confirmed but it's pretty clear it's Bayonetta 1 coming to Steam.

I think you should emphasize that the countdown site was hidden in the achievements for the steam 8-bit game, so people don't think it's unrelated to steam or whatnot.

Holy Shit.

I saw the other thread and thought lol Sega, now?

Stop doing this to us you bastards!

So fuckin' pumped. It's my favorite Wii U game.

While I'm glad Nintendo helped bring the sequel to life, I'm sad to think it might never get a decent port. Good thing CEMU is coming along finely.

Edit: Fuck my life.

All signs do point to a Steam release of Bayonetta based on how Sega are handling this, and how they directed people to the countdown site

Please no one expect Bayonetta 2 to leave Nintendo platforms, you will just be disappointed, always

The URL comes from an achievement attached to a joke Bayonetta game on Steam. While it's still speculation, all signs point to a Bayonetta port on Steam. It obviously won't be the second game since it's tied up with Nintendo, and I doubt they would announce a third game in this manner. Furthermore, the background art on the countdown site is from the first game.

Neat. I know Nintendo financed the second game but is there a chance that it could be self-published on PC after a set amount of time kind of like how Remedy published Alan Wake on PC years after Microsoft financed the 360 version?

PS4/XBone/PC remaster is my bet
And Switch?

Yeah, I know. But the site just has a countdown page with nothing referencing to Bayonetta apart from the colours scheme. So it even could be an announcement to something else.
The image in the background is from Bayonetta 1
The site was linked from the April Fools Bayonetta flash game Steam achievements images
That flash game has "Bayonetta finally comes to PC" on its description.

The announcement is going to be a PC port of the real thing. It's happening.

We don't know details of deal. Could be or not. Nintendo published/financed Ninja Gaiden 3 and Lego City game too both came to other platforms later.

Sure deal's have expiration dates.

Only if Nintendo gives the green light. So never.

Given that Lego City Undercover is now showing up on other platforms, I'd say there's a chance that Bayonetta 2 could as well. However, I also suspect that Nintendo played a bigger role in Bayonetta 2 than they did in LCU, so maybe not. It all depends on the contract, and that information isn't public.
