I still have two testicles, SEGA bae, you get one for Vanquish. Pleeeeese.

Love and bestish,
SURGEdude

Port beg, port beg, black market organ sales, port beg

Bayonetta is cool too tho.

Jesus, that Switch port begging is real! Hope this does come to Steam, Sega has had a lot of success on the platform so it only makes sense to bring bigger games over.

I don't like hearing about shit like this on April Fools

if its actually true then hype. I only got to play on PS3, I need that real framerate.

Me too. Vanquish runs so poorly on my PS3

If I remember right it's even worse on 360. It's in dire need of a remaster and/or PC release.

Unrelated, but flatness of the Dualshock's shoulders and triggers and the need to access all buttons at the same time made this one of like 3 games I actually prefered the PS3 controller over 360 for. Looked phenomenal, and holds up well too.

One of the best games ever made, and it seems like no other teams learned shit from it. Kind of depressing actually.

Personally, I don't think I'll buy it. I really liked the game but I can't go back to it after playing Bayonetta 2, it's such a better game in almost every aspect, including controls.

The background of the site uses promotional art for Bayonetta 1, Scarborough Fair and all.

That and a pair of Steam achievements is what lead people to the URL. Considering the series proper has no presence on the PC, that's too platform-specific for a multiplatform announcement.

Well we already have Revengeance on PC which is the actual best Platinum character action game but I guess better late than never. Maybe we can mod out the wonky pacing and replace all the boss fights with the one good one.

If this port is true, then the 8bit game itself isn't an April Fools joke, as in the end it's a marketing move or a promotion to the PC port.

Vanquish' performance on Xbox 360 is fine, for a 30 fps kind of game. Steadily maintains that target and only sporadically dips 'heavily' when you're still supposed to be fighting enemies.

Eventual PC port like Bayonetta 1 (seemingly) would certainly be a blessing, still.

If it was april fools they wouldn't have a countdown timer for 10 days from now. The prank was 8-Bit Bayonetta.

Well except for the fact that:

Flying sections suck
Underwater combat is meh
Bayonetta 2 relies very heavily on the climax mechanic versus careful acrobatics in the original
I don't think the weapons are quiet as fun to use as the first game's
And probably a couple other things that I can't recall off the top of my head

The first game is better in a lot of ways with a few problems alleviated at a cost in the sequel (QTE scenes suck, the color palette is hazy or has a weird filter, Bayonetta looks better in 2,etc).

There's a lot love in the first game that the second is missing.

My initial reaction, was an April Fool's however, why would there be a countdown which ends in 10 days time? So wary, but optimistic.

You guys, what if they add the ability to load straight in to boss checkpoints like they did for the Revengeance PC port? Fighting Jeanne without having to go through the Space Harrier section...

I feel so fuckin stupid for getting my hopes up on April 1st, but please be real ;_;

SEGA would be totes redeemed

Never really got this about the second game... I pretty much played without using it just fine and never felt like I spent too much time bludgeoning something without it since I could get my DPS up pretty high.

If anything, the second game was significantly more reliant on witch time than the first game.

(like... you pretty much couldn't break some enemies' defense without the thing)

This may be good or bad depending on whether or not you feel boxed in because you were forced to use witch time. I was personally OK with it because I like the mechanic and felt it was nice to be encouraged to use it more, but I imagine some people would feel annoyed given that it would limit your approach to some enemy types.

Eh, I don't agree with most of what you said. Flying sections are fun, Underwater combat isn't really bothering, Bayonetta 2 is still heavily relying on witch time especially with bosses shortening or cancelling it, and I'd say that weapons are way more diverse than in the first game.

The only problem I have with Bayonetta 2 is the final boss sucking, and the fact that the best boss fight is around mid-game, and not at the very end like Bayonetta 1.

The Nintendo costumes in the Wii U version are cancelled out by how abominably noisy the disc drive is when you play Bayo 1. It sounds like it's trying to eat your disc the whole time :P

IIRC, the Xbox One backwards compatibility version is the best way to play Bayo 1 right now, right? But that's still 720p and 60-ish FPS. I can't buy this PC version hard enough.

I'd trade the outfits for 1440p, G-Sync and possibly 100+ fps in a heartbeat

Yeah, clean IQ and a stable frame rate heavily outweigh cosmetics — things that can be modded in, anyway. Not that they were great to begin with.

That version has lots of nasty drops, too.

Everything in this tease (which I don't believe until there is an actual announcement, especially today btw) points towards a B1 release.
It's been what? 5 years since B2 announcement? When will you stop portbegging for it?

I'll freaking laugh my ass of if it doesn't mean a PC port. People shouldn't forget were still dealing with Sega here.

They may take our game. But they will never take... Our port begging!

I should boot up the WiiU again for the two games.

Bayonetta 3 is surely worth the investment. I can see it being moderately successful on PS4/PC. Sega pls.
