So many franchises reduced to dust.
The Sega story is a tragedy.
I mean made in the West. Although I guess even Sonic isn't really an American property.Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, recently. Persona 5 this year.
It doesn't make mention of any Japan specific related restructuring in the article. I'd imagine Atlus is successful enough for them to continue doing what they're doing?

hyped for more Sega mobile stuff
Sounds like the beginning of the end, slowly but surely joining Atari as a publisher that was once king of the console market and now makes nothing but irrelevant mobile games.
Oh well, at least they still publish studios like The Creative Assembly for the time being.
This.
You'll probably see a lot more exclusive titles per system, and with Sony and MS wanting to foot the bill, they'll be under one banner instead of two or three.
It's a tough road, but cutting costs on systems that aren't making money is a necessity in this day and age.
Poor Sega was never king of anything.
Maybe they will sell the franchise to Sony
What does this mean for Relic and Creative Assembly?
That said, other than Sonic, I can't think of anything else they release on console.

You are either very young, or have an awful memory.
Sega intends to alter operations to focus on mobile and online PC games
So an outsourced job and Creative Assembly.Aliens: Colonial Marines - 2013 (PC, 360, PS3)
Alien: Isolation - 2014 (PC, 360, XB1, PS3, PS4)
Well looks like they stop releasing shitty Sonic console games, by not releasing them at all
"as well as its Sonic and merchandising businesses."
The day we stop getting shitty console Sonic games is the day Sega goes out of business.
(I don't know whether Sonic fans consider that a good or a bad thing...)
