SC: The numbers for the first Tak are off--it sold more than a million in the US.

That said, I'd expect the DS version to sell ~30k this month.

No one has any sales-faith in Radiata Stories?

Man, I really hope it outsells Star Ocean by a longshot... though I know it wont happen

The game did not recieve enough attention, lemme tell you.

The aestehtics are beautiful, the voice acting is top-notch (and such a large variety of individal voice actors! That impressed me a lot - SO2 was just recycling the same actors over and over) And it has some of the BEST - the best - camera angles and cinematics during cut scenes, and dialouge scenes. Thought I was watching a real film, it was done really well.

That's not so bad for a new IP.
Not so great for Square, though. Hell, Crystal Chronicles did better, ha. Well, that was "FF" afterall.

Yeah, I'm really hoping to see good Radiata sales... you never know, Star Ocean 3 did pretty damn decently. But I think that at least had a TV commercial... RS is really cool and deserves to do well. And yeah, Jack is so dumb and goofy overeager that he's actually quite charming. I'll take him over any whiny angsty prettyboy RPG hero any day of the week.

1) Where the hell is Ultimate Spiderman? (Rhetorical question). I was expecting much better. Maybe the limited edition split up the sales more than I though.

2) Burnout Xbox > Burnout PS2 just like last year. (which was the first time ever for a multiplatform title not called Splinter Cell)

It's gonna get worse. The absence of Halo 2 & GTA: SA will not be filled. Even with a huge intro by the 360, IMO

This is so very weird indeed, the others seemed to be so much more popular. I don't think a shortage of some sort would have anything to do with it either. Maybe it was broadly offered for a lower price than the other two versions.

Well launch titles are pretty much limited by hardware constraints. Zelda got delayed on Gamecube, xbox development shifted to Xbox 360, and PS2 games like Soul Calibur III and SotC that get good reviews are probably just going to sell similar to what SC2 and Ico did. I think still Madden 2005 on PS2 will end up the top selling SKU this year. It's like 2003 where all of the big games ended up getting delayed, only the really notable delay this year is Zelda.
