Zema Ion is pretty great. Not sure what's so hard about having a weekly X Division match. TNA has improved, but creatively they're still slightly below the WWE...which is in pretty bad shape anyway.

I agree with The Beefster. The only WWE match I've been legitimetely excited for this year was Brock/Cena and only to see what Brock would do.

Well, I'm not sure why you don't look forward to their matches anymore. I think those are two of the best around right now. I'm not saying WWE is good at pushing people now. Del Rio and Cesaro's pushes were very forced and they weren't built up properly ,but its better than no push at all. Which is what I feel TNA is doing. I remember they put Kenny King and Ion in that tag match with the main eventers and I thought we were going to get something from it ,but I don't think I've seen them since.

So why isn't PWG Battle of Los Angeles mentioned in the OP (well the picture I mean it's only the Best West Coast tourney this year)? That makes me a sad panda.
My only problem with TNA is that they do it in such a small audience
IF they had a larger audience that was more into it, I'd be more into it on TV.

I don't look forward to their matches because they're fucking boring. Bryan is involved with Kane again, and Punk is involved with Cena again, and Del Rio is involved with Sheamus again, etc. What's worse is that the matches don't seem important at all, ESPECIALLY with Cena involved. I just can't stand it anymore.
Then you've got TNA, who is doing their damndest this time to make it seem like the matches they put on TV are important. I'm actually kinda pumped to see who is going to win the BFG thing.
King and Ion had a match at the last PPV for Ion's title, but Ion won it.

i kind of agree with beef. the wwe opposition to using talent is crazy. they trot the same guys out, misuse them and expect us to eat it. why is del rio fighting sheamus again.

It's when you act like a complete asshole to someone to hide or distract yourself from any attraction you feel towards them. That's the most sanitary definition I can provide outside of an anime thread.
I'd like to see that. Normally, I wouldn't ask someone else to do something that I wouldn't or couldn't do myself - and watching a skin flick starring Chyna definitely falls under that category. But inquiring minds need to know. So I humbly ask that you put your skills to use for the rest of the group.

Actually, yes. At this point in history, it's a token character, a box on a list of attitudes-as-characters that's checked off whenever a show, book or game needs to attract a certain demographic. Just like random portraits of Kane, they're out there just because.

Well, Japanese media is founded on token characters. I learned that when I studied No drama, as the characters take a major backseat to the visual and aesthetic, which is emphasized in Japanese culture.

You know, I figured that thread in OT would have killed that gag. But nope, still as stupidly funny as ever.
I wasn't aware of that, that's quite interesting. I think I might have a new perspective on Japanese media in general. I should do a bit of studying on this subject in my spare time.

That was probably the best episode of Impact all year and that says alot because it has been getting better every week it seems. Production and presentation of the overall product is better, especially the pre-fight bound for glory packages. Joey Ryan raiding the Gut Check promo was just awesome, and this time he had a megaphone. Good Matches tonight, with the best being Samoe Joe's victory over AJ Styles. And finally the Aces and 8s storyline is working and working well and continues to surprise every week as you wonder what the hell is going on and who is who and what? Yeah, great stuff tonight.
Edit: Also enjoyed Hogan and Sting as a duo. They got good chemistry together as a comedic team. Then again, both backstage segments with Kaz and Daniels and Joseph Park were comedy pieces. Kaz calling Sting "Heath" for the Joker reference and Sting and Hogan bickering over stealing eachother's catchphrases was good tv.
