Why the fuck would they want to ensure the legacy of the Kane gimmick?

Why not just create a Son of Papa Shango character while they're at it? (Except I actually want this one)

I like Son of Shango. Along with Mini Kamala or whatsitcalled. 80s revival up in this piece.

Lil Lex Express
Hank Hogan
Dust Mite Rhodes

You're still pushing this gimmick? Do you want me to reveal to everyone those pictures of you in the Kane mask?

Me too! I've gone on about this at length previously (here) and I would love to see them give the Papa Shago gimmick to Kofi. Would actually make him remotely interesting. Really though, I just want them to do SOMETHING with him - he's had literally ZERO character development (unless you count emigrating his character from Jamaica to Ghana).

Kofi is just another kid's character. He's the Boom Boom Boom guy.

Have Kofi be Kane's son, along with Drew, Titus, and Jinder Mahal.

Form a new stable with Paige as Kane's daughter.

Big Red Children.

He also rides horses and surfs. Is there anything the man can't do?

Nope, I can definitely see the comparisons;

I think this KOF-Pro Wrestling connection runs pretty deep. Last night, Soulplaya and I noted that Hulk Hogan's 'Finger Poke of Doom' ring gear was reminiscent of a KOF character but I didn't know his name, until now:

Your Poppa Kingston fan fic is one my favourite things Bootaaay. You're a credit to your people.

Kofi would have been released a long time ago if he wasn't Punk's friend.

Perhaps. I think he's just one of those guys who is pretty low key in his real life as well so they don't have to worry about him showing up on TMZ. He stays clean and gets to be an also-ran with 1-2 really cool spots semi-annually in an important match so he manages to hold down the job.

I always loved it when 2D fighters based their characters on wrestlers. They fit the mold, and both involve larger than life characters.

Push Kofi.
That is all.

He's about to go over Good Guy Glen. The only tag teams that Kane didn't singlehandedly destroy and toss into the ring like ragdolls were Primo & Epico and Air Boom feat. R-Truth, if I'm remembering correctly.

In WWE booking logic, that means that those are the only two teams that stand a chance.

Triple G is such a swell guy that I know he'd put Kofi over, it's just that WWE have other plans for the guy called permanent midcard position.

Kane already put Kofi over, cleanly too (quick rollup). It was back in 08 or early 09, I believe.

Kofi needs to be the #2 babyface of the company so that when Cena joins the nWo, Kofi can fulfill the Sting role.

He's not quite there yet and to tell you the truth, I don't know who in WWE is currently the Sting to John Cena's Hogan.

I think they need to gut Smackdown.

Before you jump at me with "WTF?!" hear me out:

Kill the WHC title. Put the top guys from current Smackdown into the main events of RAW. So that way you have one big meaty main event rather than two split smaller entities.

WCW looked strong because they didn't have a split roster. Put Randall Keith Orton back into the RAW main event. Put Sheamus in there. Give them all storylines. There is no reason why we should have to stomach a Punk-Show feud just because Cena is injured. They have MUCH BETTER guys for a main event than Big Show.

I know this sounds ridiculous but what I'm trying to say is, use your top talent from Smackdown on RAW's main events. Not just on RAW but PPVs too. I know the Smackdown guys are on RAW already but they don't really get involved in Punk/Cena's feuds. I'd like to see that change.

They're already doing that, if you think about it. There's just not enough room for all those guys in the "main event". Especially considering that Rock is set to feud with Cena or Punk from Jan-April.

I don't understand why Wade Barrett is being pushed after Big Show injured him but not Drew McIntyre, who is also British and also injured by Big Show.

I hope that now that NXT is a thing in the US again we can see the odd NXT title defense on PPV (or pre-show)

Is it going to be a thing in the US again? Sadly I thought that HULU+ getting WWE would mean they might air the newer tapings, but nope. At least not yet. Hulu+ ends at NXT June 13, end of season 5. Sad. Is there any indication that Hulu's WWE content is going to pick up the newer NXT events that started on June 20/21?

Such a fun match, need to watch it again.

Yeah, it was an great match. When Takayama feels like giving 100% he can be such a badass. Pity his body's kinda worn down now. I love the ridiculously stiff matches with KENTA;

KENTA vs Yoshihiro Takayama - (NOAH 06/27/04) - Takayama destroys baby KENTA.

KENTA vs Yoshihiro Takayama - (NOAH 01/15/11) - 6 and a half years on, and KENTA is regarded as one of the toughest wrestlers in the world. Takayama still destroys him.

I'm a week late, but my med school professor was on Raw last week for the Jerry Lawler segment:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFQravpb-jQ

He was joking that he was mad at himself that he didn't dress more appropriately since he should know by now to always expect cameras in the world of the WWE.

He was also telling us about how that was the first time he had given CPR to someone in a real-life situation since 1998 (he does his CPR re-certification every year of course).

You attend PCOM? And your Prof is Dr. Sampson? Wow.

Barrett is getting a push? could've fooled me, seems to be hovering around with minimal direction under the disguise of a push.
Then again compared to Drew it's the push of the century, unless Drew's jobber faction takes off.
