The baby bullet Caltrains are great and they are extremely limited. I'm so glad I'm in SF now instead of the South Bay.
I thought the bullet only went to SJ and not SF. Am I missing something?

I remember taking it to a Sharks game from SF. This was years ago, did the lines change?I thought the bullet only went to SJ and not SF. Am I missing something?

Anyone interested in doing a meet up this Friday after GDC?
Awesome! Hopefully we can get a few others.Yes, I'll have to pop in to our company party, but after/before that definitely interested!
I might be down. Also looking to meet up with GAF from or near San Jose area. I somehow have a deficit of friends that are into gaming anywhere near my own capacity. Would love to meet up with GAF members again!
I would like to show up to one of these events one of these days. I'm tired of staying in my little hiddie hole in Belmont.
o be honest, I'm surprised the thread gets so little movement, considering the general composition of the Bay Area (tech-heavy, therefore, probably lots of people into gaming).
Belmont ain't so bad, I was just at the farmer's market there a couple of weeks ago.
I'm in the South Bay/San Jose area and could come to any events in the area.
PSX was finals week the last two years for me >_>.
The fact that the Bay Area is so tech-focused is probably the only reason we have this thread. I haven't seen any GAF community topics for areas around the size of the bay area.
No, I'm referring to the fact that I don't get out much. I moved here 4-5 years ago and hardly ever go into the city or ever leave our apartment. Now that I have a job, I find I have no idea what customers are talking about when they mention things about it.

I don't drink lol
I mean I guess I could still go but eh that would be boring for me
Just want to mention again, though it is tougher for folks who are far outside the city, Folsom St. Foundry on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You don't have to be into drinking, they host smash and street fighter tournaments (see pro players semi frequently as well as Mike Ross) that are streamed, tons of projectors and TVs with different game set ups. Some board games, rock band, etc. It's a blast ($5 cover though).
Brewcade is really awesome too, just smaller.
Sounds fun I'd love to join.Anyone interested in doing a meet up this Friday after GDC?

Right on! Think of places you guys feel like going to for food/drink, I'm pretty open. If it ends up just being a few of us we have a lot of options.Sounds fun I'd love to join.

I was all switched around. I'm planning on getting people together the Friday of GDC week, so a couple weeks from now. Just gauging interest and starting to think of places. You mean before?
I meant 18th.Like the 11th?
I'll be at Folsom St. Foundry Tuesday and Thursday of that week. I think there's another event on that Wednesday too I'll probably go to.We want to suggest a new GDC meet?
Possibly during the week itself?
Drought over???
That's fucking cute.
Is there a meet-up for this GDC week?

Additionally, is anyone CalTraining from the south bay?
Well crap, I just now remembered to check this thread.
How reliable is BART? I've got 4.5 hours between when my international flight lands and my check in time for my connecting domestic flight.
Which airport are you flying into?
BART's currently having some issues in the East Bay: http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/BART-riders-enter-third-day-of-disruption-as-6921626.php
Generally pretty reliable. But you are talking about 30 minutes to go from SFO into the city with trains leaving every 15-20 minutes. So give yourself 1hr 40mins for transit time to and from Civic Center. 40 minutes to get off your plane and to the BART station (it takes some time, though you can walk from the International Terminal) plus whatever time customs takes you. Then security coming back which is heavily dependent on time but I have never spent all that long in security at SFO.How reliable is BART?
