Shadow screens

M....mild language?!?! What???

Sega this has to stop:-(

I'm pretty sure this game is just a joke and the day before they release it they'll show screens from the real game right??!?..........*cries*

I can honestly say for the first time in history I'm not excited at all for a Sonic game, the franchise that turned me on to gaming in the first place, I was even a teensy bit hyped about Heroes, but this!??!

I still have Sonic Rush...I still have Sonic Rush.

What, no exclusive car manufacturer licences? Pathetic...

The CG FMV would be the most polished part. It looks fantastic. The game itself is the complete opposite :(

Let this be an end to such BS comments.
Uhh, that proves nothing. Shadow is probably a bit more detailed than SA2, actually. It's just that the styling and art direction is complete crap AND there has almost been a five year gap.

This is a downgrade (visually) from Sonic Heroes as well.

The whole direction of the game is both hilarious and very very wrong, but I must admit it looks very fun! Especially this bit:

I'll probably buy it.

Buy some crystal meth and rent The Never Ending Story. Trust me, you'll feel a lot less embarassed and you'll be supporting the drug industry, which is incredibly honorable compared to the alternative.

edit: hahahaha, click the link SolidSnakeX posted above me and make sure your speakers are on

it starts out pretty cool, "hey a 32 bit arcade guitar riff, this isn't so bad, it's kind of cool that SEGA went retro with-"

and then the singing started

christ sega

C'mon people! It's a kiddy character snatched from a children's cartoon world and dropped into a gritty gansta setting doing drive bys, collecting bling and poppin caps in gangstas!

It's obvious that this game is far from a desperate amoral attempt to market violence to children for money. This, people, is an artistic statement.

The creators obviously mean for this game to be taken as a mirror of western culture and a terrific comment on how as a society we market violence and lawlessness to children for profit. The shit graphics are part of the statement - a comment on how the companies marketing this sort of inappropriate message to children are doing so to compensate for substandard products that would otherwise probably just collect dust on the shelf.

Kudos on taking such a socially responsible stance Sega. Kudos.

It's already looking highly playable (the Sonic/Shadow stages on the Adventure games were always great fun) and absurdly funny, which is pretty rare these days, regardless of whether the humour is intentional/unintentional.

Like Sonic Heroes. Right?

*Is still feeling the burn from that abortion of a game*

Can I just point out that SEGA is publishing Condemend, so they are not as totally batshit insane as this thread seems to indicate?

I thank you.

Honestly now, no matter how this game plays or sounds, and I'm not a graphics whore here, but this game looks embarrasing.

Looks like they've made some improvements to the detail of the city. Looks more populated too. Sonic Adventure 2 is sure going to be awesome.
