We have heard some stuff that it will be a First Person game, but will it be more shooter or RPG?

That is what I am hoping for. I used to play the pen and paper Shadowrun RPG all the time. I think the Genesis Shadowrun is one of the best 16-bit games ever made. Hopefully, Microsoft does this franchise right and doesn't screw it up.

I've got my fingers crossed that MS hired some top notch talent to put behind the game. If it were me, I would hire all kinds of ex-Looking Glass/Ion Storm talent to put on the team. Maybe get some former Black Isle artists to handle the art and character design.

I'd love to see a Shadowrun game that plays like GTA. A fully explorable Seattle with free roaming play, but still heavy on the RPG elements that made the Pen and Paper game so much fun.

I would love a Shadowrun MMO like WoW, J-style RPG like Persona or Parasite Eve or possibly something similar to Neverwinter Nights. I wasn't a huge fan of Deus Ex TBH and would kind of prefer if it had nothing in common with that franchise.

Still, if it says Shadowrun on the box, it's mine!

Both sound good (even with my PSP= NO attitude)....but I really want a mix between GTA and an action-RPG. put in elements from both SNES and Genesis versions, and maybe even a few from the Sega CD one (not that anyone has played it...).

And please don't flinch at "GTA". Done correctly, it could be the free-roaming masterpiece Warren Spector whined for.

Honestly, I'd be ecstatic if they were simply remaking the Genesis version. But with the SNES version's story/writing. The Genesis one was fairly "free roaming" for it's day, with it's limitless runs and random events. We could do worse than a GTA clone with a Shadowrun skin. Or a MMORPG. City of Heroes actually reminds me a bit of Shadowrun. But I'm hoping for something with a deep plot and lots of customization and a variable enviroment that makes the customization worth a damn.

I like my games not looking like shit, so I really hope you are alone on this one. Shadowrun deserves all the bells and whistles that accompanies a real next gen game. That is, great sound, graphics, atmosphere etc...all of which you won't get to a large degree on a hand held system.
