No, you just didn't understand the scene. That was her unintentionally showing she didn't have full control of her anger, while she thought she did because she had a lot to be angry about ya know since that stuff actually happens. That's why she turns into hulk when she was saying that stuff. We later see she does indeed lose her control when pushed far enough. Whole shows been about retaliating every facet of her life with this hulk journey. In the end she refuses to hulk out against the dude who spread revenge porn on her.

Still way too many people taking this show too seriously. I let go after episode 4 and just had a fun time with the cameos and bizarre characters. This episode fit the first half of the season more than the second half.

They didn't equalize her. They wrote a character who was speaking from her perspective. Did you want her to say "Bruce I've personally experienced and can empathize with all of your larger than life issues and you are in fact correct, I have no perspective and have no idea what I'm going through"
Because that isn't writing a character with a personality type, that's just wishing she said what a perfect unfeeling person would've said. She got on the defensive because yes people do that in real life and she was already emotionally distraught due to the fact her life would never be the same again. No different than when Stark gives up his address on national television to a terrorist. Hes a facsimile of a person, with a personality and so no he doesn't always do or say the most logical thing. He does what a real person with feelings and abilities and cocksureness like himself would do, and thats exactly what Tony Stark would've done in that situation.
This new age of people wanting characters to just be mouthpieces for their own opinions on things and being unwilling to accept anything other than that is silly. Jen is a character with an actual persona and her dialogue should adhere to THAT not simply be what you want to hear at all times.

And yes it does have an affect. I've witnessed an old creeo harassing a young girl on a bus for the entirety of the ride and it was extremely uncomfortable for ME, let alone her being the subject tiger that no matter how many hits she gave off that the attention was unwanted.

I, we, have watched three episodes. Two adults, two teenagers 0% of us likes the two, my son only watched to see Cox. I doubt we are able to get that far.
Love Maslany, no fault there. Anything else is just really, really bad. I get that Marvel wants to find new people and new talent to do shows and even movies, but there's absolutely zero talent in the writing. The episodes don't have structure, they don't even have a story. It is just insividual and separate scenes cut together, nothing flows.
And I don't understand how such a big studio can hire writers who don't know how to write a story, even a bad one and built it into an episode.
Also, talking to the camera. Not working at all, very cringe. I get a feeling the show thinks it is much funnier than it actually is. It is not funny at all, everything it telegraphed minutes before, one-liners are done-liners many times before.
Moon Knight was good, or even great for me. As was Doctor Strange. Everything else Marvel was been pretty much total shit: bad scripts being the biggest culprit.

Right from the get go, it was clear what this show was, and who it was aimed at. If you've wasted four hours of your life hate watching it, instead of watching something you'd actually have enjoyed, then that probably works as a better criticism of you than it does of the show.

I turned this on out of morbid curiosity after football last night. This is the only D+ Marvel show I've seen. My girl and I both agree, it's dumb but we kind of like it. I certainly wouldn't tune in every week for the next episode, but we burned through 4 episodes and will probably finish the rest tonight.
I can't take the show seriously, which is why I'm kind of confused by all the "serious" criticisms I've heard levied at it. In my opinion, this show is goofy like the Adam West Batman show or the Wonder Woman show from the 70s. It's just a different kind of goofiness (btw I'm not making a quality comparison with those shows, I mean c'mon).
If you think the show is painfully unfunny or is stupid - I get that. However, diving into the messaging, storytelling, plot or whatever just seems odd to me. Nothing about this show feels like it's trying to do anything more than just be entertaining. It's mindless filler TV that for me is ok because I have Andor and HotD that I actually love.
I genuinely feel like the binge experience for this show is the best way to do it. The episodes fly by and the tone of each episode bleeds into the next pretty seamlessly. I feel like with a week between episodes, you lose that which is why I kept hearing this show has an uneven identity. Some of the scenes probably hit differently when taken as a whole stream of consciousness rather than a self-contained episode, and then a week of waiting.
Anyway, TLDR: I expected to turn it off after 10 mins, ended up binging 4 episodes with my girl and we will finish it tonight. It's dumb fun to me and nothing more. I feel the hate is overblown for what the show seems to me.

Sat through the whole show. It was rough watching, as I've mentioned before I really like the character and definitely a fan of what Byrne did with it. I expected something a lot cooler from this show, I can get over the fact that "they couldn't afford to do a lot of action shots" which is always gonna be lame but ok, whatever. The writing was just not good, some people like it but clearly I'm not the audience for this. I did try to get my girlfriend to watch it but she couldn't handle it after 2 episodes (and went back to her usual true crime fare, ah well).
There were a couple of bright spots, started off on, Madisynn was funny, 2nd to last episode was kinda fun to watch. But the finale? I guess I let the lead up fool me, I took the bait, I was totally expecting that they were saving up their budget to blow their wad in that last ep. but instead we got..
Ok, I understand it's an homage to comic She-Hulk getting frustrated with the writing of the comic, and facing down the guy who was writing it. When he did it, it felt clever. Here, it felt.. I dunno, it wasn't the worst thing in the world, but after the entire show it felt kinda smarmy "oh look we've pulled the wool over your eyes! We have her talking to the shoe writers, and Kevin Feige joke self referential humor!" The joke isn't bad but it just felt like they had enthusiasm to say but not really a genuinely funny way to do it.
I guess I would have been pleased if she tore up the Feige robot and then thrashed the hell out of Marvel/Disney. I guess that would be out of character for She-Hulk, fair enough. Anyway don't care about Son of Hulk or more Smart Hulk. Do whatever else you need to Marvel, I'm just gonna chill out and wait for the next season of Loki.

Finale was the weakest ep of the season IMO. No court cases, which are the highlight of the season for me. I look forward to Season 2, as this is one of Marvel's better series. I just want more wacky/funny court cases. I really think this show won me over with the lovable cast of characters and the silly litigations that accompanied them. This show also gave us Wonger and the Avongers. This show was very different from my expectations, but in a very good way.

Fourth wall stuff often feels cheap and lazy to me. Especially when you are using it to point out the flaws in your own thing. Just pointing it out doesn’t make you smart. The fact that they do all that stuff to have her figure out her own, better ending and that just turns out to be “the cops show up” just makes it feel like they wanted to do the fourth wall tricks like the Disney+ screen but didn’t actually figure out anything to do with it.

Finished the series last night. Seeing Daredevil was awesome, he's great as always. I wish there was more court cases this season. The season finale felt kind of meh, when she climbed out of the D+ app that was cool though - it really looked like she was coming out of my TV.
Overall, I don't get the hate for this show - I went in prepped and ready to hate it. However, it was dumb fun, nothing more. I fired up Wandavision right after, I enjoyed that too. I might try Loki next.

Not explicit about She-Hulk, but what buggers me now is to understand every reference in the MCU, you have to watch all the TV shows as well. Strange 2 without WandaVision makes you wonder “what is going on?” The Marvels without Ms Marvel will be the same. If you haven’t watched She-Hulk, you won’t know were Hulks son comes from. Etc.
I know that this is like in the comics, but it’s also hell of confusing for the regular movie goer without Disney+.

Ghostbusters 2016 was also watchable...and obviously couldn't surpass the original (though I enjoyed it more than Ghostbusters 2).
But in both cases it's this "men are being replaced/ under attack" that is truly ridiculous. If the critiques were about the quality of the entertainment then fair game. Knock yourself out. But when it's "how dare they minimise Bruce Banner's struggles and make the female version superior in anyway."
