Shigeru Miyamoto's Roundtable for E3 09

Don't think we're getting anything new guys

Then why are videos and photos banned? Seems kind of silly if they are just going to be talking about things we already saw today and they have this restriction...

In the event someone at the roundtable is reading this, could you please ask about Kirby Wii. Please :/

6:17 p.m.: He's going to start today by talking in more detail about New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Sports Resort and then Zelda DS. And when that's done, he'll answer some questions from the audience.
Doesn't say the meeting is over after those questions..... ;)

You have a point!

ZELDA WII COME TO ME

Eh, if he doesn't announce anything it's cool.

I mean Jesus Christ we got Mario Galaxy 2

Still, maybe there'll be something last minute.

Why would you ask Miyamoto about Kirby? He's only going to say he'll have to ask HAL.

I thought these conferences always had the restriction.
I know it did with the Smash Bros trailer, and I believe it did last year where Matt asked about Pikmin 3.

Maybe Miyamoto doesn't want to talk with flashbulbs going off every 15 seconds

damnit, I'm late, didn't realize this was going on tonight, but I must ask: Do we have our Chief GAF Interrogator Chris Remo at this thing?

he needs to wrest more info out of Miyamoto like he so epically did last year!

I'm hating the fact IGN not having a self-refreshing page means me having to skip their ads every 7-8 refreshes :/

"6:22 p.m.: Wii's added processing power enables Nintendo to create this kind of multiplayer game because the console can handle all four players plus additional on-screen characters, etc."

Whoa, Wii is teh powerful !

I was hoping last year was an aberration because of the new format but it always seemed like they would at least mention titles that they didn't have time for during the main press event during the roundtable. Not so sure now though...

Don't Give Matt C. credit for that, that was Chris Remo.

Sounds like he has project for the ds and wii that cant be announced yet. Remember everytime he says he thinks it would be cool it turns out to be a nintendo game.

I have a feeling this e3 has not much substance to it because a lot of the projects they feel cant be shown yet . Also by what he said about swine flue maybe was cut back a lot.

Remo was probably banned from the roundtable after forcing a megaton last year.

woah woah woah. Matt DID NOT ask about Pikmin 3. It was Chris Remo, after he was pushed by GAF.

6:22 p.m.: Wii's added processing power enables Nintendo to create this kind of multiplayer game because the console can handle all four players plus additional on-screen characters, etc.

6:21 p.m.: The camera in New Super Mario Bros. auto pans in or zooms out depending on what is happening between players at any given moment.

6:20 p.m.: (On NSMB Wii) The balance between competitive and cooperative multiplayer gameplay harkens back to the original Mario Bros.

6:19 p.m.: Miyamoto has been working on the Mario franchise for many years and he has always wanted to recreate the single-player gameplay that you get from the game for multiple players. With just about every Mario project he's worked on, he starts out with some kind of multiplayer functionality, but it usually doesn't come to fruition.

6:18 p.m.: Bill Trinen and two other members of NOA Treehouse take the stage and begin playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii while Miyamoto talks about it.

6:22 p.m.: Wii's added processing power enables Nintendo to create this kind of multiplayer game because the console can handle all four players plus additional on-screen characters, etc.

....

Why do I find that comment depressing?

Miyamoto was killed and replaced with a vampire. Why do you think he wasn't at the Conference this morning?
