Is there a way to buy this game without traveling to Japan?
I actually randomly have an extra copy. PM me if you want it.

Hmm, download play on Kokuga really seals the deal. Thanks.
Guys, I'm getting ready to release a small, indie SHMUP with my friends.
We're on Greenlight as of yesterday. It would be awesome if you guys could check out the demo and let me know what you think, maybe toss us a 'yes' on Steam if you could.
The game is called Shutshimi. Here's a screenshot and a link to the Youtube trailer.
The demo is on the game's website. It'll be on Windows and XBLIG later this month. It'll be a dollar.
I finally got around to trying the Kamui (Siter Skain) demo from Nyu Media with Wine in OSX. It runs great, but the game isn't accepting any keyboard inputs other than fn + F keys. Scratching my head over this one... Has anyone else gotten it working?
lol are those surfing butts? Gives me a choaniki vibe.
how do ya'll find DoDonPachi on Saturn? worth $50?
Are you a Castlevania fan? The Adventure: Rebirth is fantastic.

I'm a Castlevania fan and what I've played of it felt incredibly lifeless and boring. Do the later stages pick things up?
Contra Rebirth on the other hand was interesting from the get go.
I need some help from you kind folks. I've been on a shmup kick since Gradius came out on the Wii-U. Also, I really like the Star Soldier series and I want a new game from the franchise but I'm not sure which one. I've got 800 Wii Points saved from ages ago and my choices are Blazing Lazers, Super Star Soldier, or Final Soldier (already got the others in the series besides the PS2/GCN games). I was leaning towards SSS but after reading about it on HG101 I'm worried it's too tough.
Super Star Soldier is by far my favorite out of those three. I haven't beaten it though, which might just justify your concern.
Just a gentle reminder, the 3DS retail Karous ships next week in japan!
Got it working! Fantastic game. And the addition of TATE in the English release. Oh man.Not in OSX. I've only done Win8/joystick (PS360+ board) and it works fine w/o configuring anything (unlike say Crimzon Clover, which needs JoytoKey set up).
I'm gonna reserve it tonight because I want the soundtrack, but not going to pick it up unless they put some gameplay videos out. The lack of info on this title reminds me a lot of how Kokuga was launched, and that doesn't inspire confidence...
Just looked it up, it doesn't.
okay, i misspoke! dude's offering DonPachi, which chaca & others said was a better game by them, and im down for that but i think the price is high...gonna offer $80 for that + akumajo x and see what happens. those of you who like Don grater than DoDon, why so?
Thanks for the impressions.
Sounds like Milestone stepped up their game?
And it'll forever live in the shadows of its predecessors and successor.
Which reminds me, I really oughtta pick up Raiden Project.
Huh? That game has been on PSN for over two years now.
I don't - isn't there an easy workaround to playing JP games on a NA PS2? A Gameshark disc, maybe? If you have a Japanese PS1 or PS2, I recommend the import version because it supports tate.
My bad I thought another Raiden game was on PSN @_@
Strange that they'd re-rate it, maybe it changed publisher or something?

What's the overall impression of Raiden Legacy? I got the Irem Arcade classics from the Groupees bundle which is ending today, might want to get RL too if it's good.
It fucking sucks. Stick to Fighters Aces and Project. What's the overall impression of Raiden Legacy? I got the Irem Arcade classics from the Groupees bundle which is ending today, might want to get RL too if it's good.
