I'm looking for some help with purchasing Japanese 360 DLC... when I had my first print copy of Mushi Futari way back, I was able to redeem the code for ver 1.01. Thankfully, I still have access to the original Xbox account I did that on, and have downloaded that to my Japanese 360, ready to use with my current main account.
The issue I have is in regards to purchasing the ver 1.5 (Black Label) DLC. I've found that if I access the 'extras' section for the game on the 360 dashboard, the add-on is listed, and happens to be priced in my local currency (£9.99), not JPY. I'm sure it wasn't like that many years ago, but I'm guessing that's probably due to when Microsoft ditched MS points and priced everything in actual currency.
So, does this mean that I can now buy the DLC with the payment method on my non-Japanese main UK account? I can get as far as using Paypal, but before I hit the purchase button I just wanted to be certain that the DLC will actually work by buying it this way, rather than throwing a tenner down the drain if the 360 complains about regions and whatnot.
Edit: Hardcoregaming101 to the rescue!
On December 11, 2009 Cave released another piece of DLC (this time available for everyone to enjoy) for the Xbox 360 port of Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5. This DLC was for the incredibly rare "Black Label" version of Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5, which will described in its own section later. Note, that while available in all regions of the Xbox 360 Marketplace for 1200 MS points, it is under the erroneous title of Mushihime-sama Hutari Black Lavel.
The part about the MS points is a little out of date, but I guess this confirms that I can grab it... considering Mushi was a region free release, I guess it makes sense that CAVE let 1.5 be available in all regions, perhaps as a courtesy to international players. Nevertheless, if anyone here can confirm, that would be great.
