Show us your gaming setup: 2007 edition

I never said it wasn't wrong, but since the creation of the vcr people have been recording their favorite shows and movies, and yes that was wrong too.
So wrong indeed that TV guides published codes so you could program your VCR much easier... This wouldn't skip the commercials for you, but there's that one button, tempting you...

It isn't free to see HP5. It IS free (and legal) to watch Heroes, and to record it and remove the commercials. In my opinion, getting hung up over whether someone records it themselves is moronic at best.

LOL recorded it, not he.

Edit: I'll put up a picture of my temp setup to make up for a few post's worth of only text. Give me a few hours.

So i should get rid of my video tapes of some of my old shows like exo-squad? I never said it wasn't wrong, but since the creation of the vcr people have been recording their favorite shows and movies, and yes that was wrong too. I do not share the show and i will delete it when i buy the dvd set. wow. can we not get off topic now.

WHOA!!! I had almost the same exact set up before I moved last year.

PS3, 360, SAME DVD player, same Motorola DVR cable box, and the same Ikea TV stand. Only difference was the reciever but mine was also silver.:lol

TVs are totally different though.

Yeah, that Ikea stand is great. Got it on sale for like $80 on clearance.

The DVD player has been good until now, but recently it has been overheating and starting to pause DVDs for a few seconds.

I have a love/hate relationship with my 30" widescreen Samsung. I love the TV but it makes this awful buzzing noise after about 20 minutes of being on. I had it repaired, they claimed the problem was a transistor that was vibrating. The solution was to put silicon around the transistor and that worked for a month but now....Grrr.

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. : /

And I think obtaining said shows from illegal sources like neojubei obviously does/did crosses this thin line clearly.
please, just stop already. you're making this a much bigger deal than it is with your holier-than-thou attitude. get that crap out of here.

Kadey you should get an arcade machine, that's all I see missing from your wonderful collection :)

Not sure if you're into that tho...

I need to update my pics... I have a crazy arcade stick collection that's taking up most of the space in my house....

I actually have three of them.

HORRIBLE Pic I know. But its not an online image ;).
32" Vizio I bought today. Its fucking sexy. Never really been around HD much other then at my friends house a few times. Now having it mere feet away from me is dazzling.

Those look like simple tool mount Y screws.

Ah, yeah I think you are right. Pretty sure I have seen that type before. At first I thought I saw the base of a standard guitar stand.

You live in Pittsburgh?

I'm sorry.

Pittsburgh is a great town to grow up in, honestly. Living here in your mid-late twenties is a different story. I've only stayed because I go to college here.

Minor update since the last post.

The more I look at your setup, the more I see stuff I've previously owned. I had that same desk 7 years ago when I was in UC Irvine. That thing was awesome. Ever think about getting those corner room desks from Ikea?

Kind of how it felt when i got my hdtv, though the kid is dorky in the video with the gloves.

Yeah, so that was... yeah... that was lame. I just can't feel getting that excited over a Samsung LCD. I have one at work and it is acceptable it's not amazing. For a bedroom TV it is acceptable but for a living room TV I just can't feel it.

/edit I definitely do not want to discount this cats experience. I can admit that I am very jaded on HDTV's based on what I have and what my friends have. He could have upgraded from a 13" crt for all I know and if he did he was very calm in his expression of how much he loved his upgrade.

Mine does the same thing, but I can only hear it from certain angles. Weirdness...

My mid-range gaming PC that I built in June:
Sceptre 22" X22WG Widescreen Monitor

The Blu-Ray Movies I've gathered so far:

And finally, the Wii gets the old Sony 27" CRT Wega. I don't have the Wii hooked up right now because we just did some rearranging.

It's been a couple years since I had this PC desk. Back since CRTs were still standard even. It has endured a lot of beatings and endless nights. I actually am planning to upgrade to some all glass setup since last year even but never got the chance or even though of mind to do so. Corner desks are a no no for me. I don't like them at all.

To say it's not the best setup in here would be an understatement, but I'm happy with it :D.
