Shows you liked that got Canned or got put on long Hiatus

What shows as of the past 10 years or so are you kind of pissed off that they got canned. I bring this up cause i just found out that Touching Evil (USA network) got canned for good. One of the best shows i actually tuned in for on USA. That and Firefly but that doesnt count it's still got life in one way or another. I'm reaplly talking about those shows that just vanished from the radar completely or those that never were on the radar.

I would make a list of my personal ones, but i cant remember them.
 
Futurama
Titus (final episodes were hilarious though)
Family Guy
The X-Files (it was pretty much ruined by the end though. Not enough scary episodes like there had been)
The Lone Gunmen
Undeclared

Funny this is all from one, stupid channel.

The reruns are on, like, "WAM!" (or something.) It's some random, small, cable channel that DirecTV carries.

November 4th, new season. It was way too popular for Fox to pass up, they just want the premiere to be during November sweeps.

Yet another reason why I want DirecTV. But it would cost me like 65 bucks a month for that. Right now, I'm getting cable for free (parents, haha).

have you seen seasons 3 and 4?

they're making a preschool cartoon called "Binomes" that is based in the same world.
could be an attempt to drum up some interest in the series again.
 
Wow, somebody mentioned a couple of my favorite ones, Keen Eddie and Brisco County Jr both rocked. Stupid Fox and their adherence to "If its not reality TV and its a great show, cancel its ass" philosophy.

It really is amazing how Fox has become the network that gives a spotlight to amazing and excellent and innovative shows......and then cancels them near-immediately. I don't think you could name that many ABC/CBS/NBC shows that got cancelled before their time. If anything, the other networks tend to let good shows drag on too long.

The only non-Fox show I can think of would be Twin Peaks. It wasn't doing that well, but they had shuffled around its timeslot far too much. They didn't even tell the producers of the cancellation so it was ended on a major cliffhanger rather than a story that wrapped up the series. It still boggles my mind how Twin Peaks went from being on the cover of every magazine in the country to "cancelled" within the span of a year. You would have thought that the phenomenal success of the early episodes would have bought some kind of grace from network executives.

Farscape got totally fucked over too. There were press releases sent out that stated that they had been signed on for a 5th season, but SciFi decided to cancel because the show couldn't regain its old momentum (after a huge 9-10 month hiatus). Sadly, I think that the Peacekeeper Wars miniseries will be the show's swan song. Producers talk about wanting to do anime or a movie, but I doubt that the following is big enough.

ReBoot ended, man! As for spin-offs.. they're spin-offs. Not the actual show.

Here's what went down:
Enzo grew up, and decided to go out on a quest to find Bob, who had disappeared. He goes with the tan skinned girl (T-something?), and they look around for Bob for a good 2 seasons. Near the end, they find Bob on a pirate ship, they go back to Mainframe, and destroy the main evil dood. Credits roll. Then there's some dance number summarizing the last 3 seasons.

Forgive me if I'm wrong. I haven't seen ReBoot in so long.

The tanned girl (can't remember the name either) was actually around for awhile before that. That show certainly didn't age well visually.

As for News Radio, it died when Phil Hartman did.
 
Savannah, some cheesy soap opera thing they had here in the UK.

They ended it on a cliff-hanger and said they'd be back in the fall, as far as I'm aware it never came back.
 
Farscape. The new miniseries seems promissing though.
Crusade (The Babylon 5 spin-off). Not very good, but still much better than last season of B5.
Futurama - they should have canned Simpsons.
And then Millennium, even though the second season was the only good one.

I think the quality drop in the second season was reason enough to cancel it. I'd still buy a Season 2 DVD set in a minute, if they were to release one in the US. That first season is just so excellent that I'll settle for watching the lesser quality chum of the second season.
 
I actually liked that Game Over show and thought it was pretty funny.

Another show I loved was this old show from the 90's called "South Central", it was an excellent comedy drama show starring Larenz Tate but it didn't seem to catch on with mainstream audiences though.

On UPN they only aired 3 episodes, on IMDB someone said Game Over and The Mullets broke some kind of new record for worst ratings ever. On the site they said the show is just on hiatus, but I doubt that.

Didn't they reset the system so everything would go back to the way it was?

Actually, after that, there was a six or so episode fourth season, where they stopped the Daemon super-virus, and then a second Bob showed up, who was going to marry Dot, but it turned out to be MegaByte returned from the web, with a new power to disguise himself as others. It ended on a cliffhanger with MegaByte in charge of the Principal Office, I believe

The show I really miss is Boomtown. I found the first season on DVD and bought it yesterday, and watching it I had nearly forgotten just how awesome this show was. This should have been a seven-plus season show.

I was gonna say Miracles. I thought the show had potential, but ABC gave it the shaft. Besides that Family Guy and Undeclared.
