Pre-ordered, so hyped. My only beef with the game is small city size (but I understand it's due to hardware limitations and glassbox) and some missing content (actual bus lines, metro, seasons, terraforming/region creatir), but both of those things can be easily fixed with expansions and I'm 99% confident they'll eventually be in the game.

Plus, the beta was a ton of fun so I'm sure I'll be happy without those features just fine until they show up.

Some of those might show up in an expansion (like bus lines, road upgrades w/ bike lanes, etc.). But I doubt anything huge like terraforming makes it in.

Maybe when 2Sim2City makes it out we'll see something like that. I'm just hoping for some logical improvements along the way.

Maybe not terraforming per se, but I can definitely see them releasing a) pre-made new regions (same size and bigger ones with the disclaimer that you'll need decent hardware) AND a pay-up-front region builder, same thing tey did/do with sims3. also, a transit-heavy expansion (a la rush hour), because transit is crazy barebones atm, with only the basics and not even proper bus lines, they just go all random.

I used it myself a few days ago. I guess it's possible they changed it but the poster above you seems to indicate it worked for them.

I haven't played a SimCity game since the SNES version, but I did try out the beta. Many people were worried about the small city size, but for my 1 hour gameplays I could only manage to get about 350 residents and lots of empty space left, so the small city size won't be an issue for me. It'll probably take me quite a while to fill up the space.

I think I just liked sitting there and watching things move around. I pre-ordered it anyway, even though I anticipate that I'm going to be a horrible and inefficient neighbor in anyone's region.

If you mean the Digital Deluxe edition, there is an upgrade option in Origin for $20 so after Amazon gives you the key you should be able to upgrade. That way you can get the Digital Deluxe for $65 instead of $80. (because of the Amazon discount)

What's neat is that they matched up the beat of the music to the internal timings of the simulation engine, so that on normal speed, you see things change on the downbeats of the music.

But I still like SimCity4's music better.
