Snake on a plane: python on wing of Qantas flight

You would think pre-flight checks would include looking for any snakes that are on the exterior before takeoff.
If I'm making sense of this correctly the snake had sneaked inside the wing and hen tried to peer out as the opening was open again only to be pulled by the high wind speed.

The only prop Qantas flies is a BAE146 and it's a top wing configuration....hmmm that actually could be it. The angle of the pic kind of looks like the wing is high.

Regardless, as close as it is to the ground in that pic it definitely wasn't near cruising speed. Wouldn't matter though, the snake never had a chance.

BAE146 isn't a prop.
Poor snake :(
